Roger Federer is the GOAT
I hate the results against Inter and blame Pioli a fair bit for those. I think our failures this season are multi faceted tho, and I think a weak squad has limited Pioli even more than he actually is tactically. To me giving him a squad with depth and quality is our best option. He's delivered a CL semi this season, like it or not. Too many here choose to take only the bad with the Pioli, he has shown many good things this season, particularly two knockout ties that were handled in the best traditions of AC Milan.

Adli? I would have liked to see him given more chances, but that doesn't make me think that I know better than Pioli. Contrary to some here, I don't think Adli is some magic spell that would have fixed our season. People have bashed Pioli for his treatment of Thiaw, but I'd say the way he's integrated him situates Thiaw very nicely for a future starting spot here. Vranckx? Looked promising at times, and certainly not at other times. CDK is a ludicrous flop so far, but if he turns out better next season and becomes something, the 43m(most of the window last season) spent on him and Thiaw will have been a long term success. CDK has a long ways to go before that happens tho.

For me this season is largely a story of a misfiring and poorly constructed squad, with several intangibles. There wasn't sufficient reason to expect this many players to do this poorly, but here we are. It's sport. As I've said before I think this was an important season to experience for the squad, and however much I hated that exit vs Inter I think it will be important motivational fuel for many of the promising starters in this squad.

I freely admit mistakes which I think is a healthy practice. I have vastly underestimated how much of a mistake it was not replacing Kessie. We need a feared midfield, we had that with him and now it was a mess. I nevertheless loath Kessie himself and never want him back, but his output should have been replaced and wasn't.

But first we have to secure CL. Dai.

I’m more of Pioli out guy at the moment but this was a very interesting and fair perspective. Made a lot sense to me. I can understand this perspective

Milan transfer market, Openda has accepted the transfer to the Rossoneri: first contacts with Lille for the forward

As reported by calciomercato.com , there has been an important turning point regarding the Milan transfer market . Openda, the Lens striker and real passion for Massara , would have given the go-ahead for the transfer to the Rossoneri, remaining favorably impressed by the dialogues with the Diavolo management.

Maldini has already had the first contacts with Lens by memorizing the request of the French club: to sell the striker, a figure just under 40 million euros is needed. Milan are convinced they can lower the figure to around 25 million. Works in progress.
What position is he going to play for us? At 175 cm, I really hope he’s not our CF signing.

With his speed, I’d play him at RW but that’s not his preferred position and he’s right-footed.
Played his last 50 matches almost always as a CF. But maybe he can adapt. Would be great to have a goal-scoring RW.

Exactly, seems like another Tonali like profile.

We need a leader in the midfield.

Frattesi for a similarly structured deal as Locatelli (35m paid over 3 years) seems financially feasible.

But would he really be a good solution for that position?
At Sassuolo he plays box to box in a 4-3-3 so not sure where he'd fit at Milan. He's a pretty good goal scorer and is a tireless worker who helps a lot on defense. The Sassuolo DS said that many big clubs want him and he won't hold him back but they usually ask for a lot. I rate him higher than Locatelli, maybe 40 millions but structured the same way.

Sounds like a best case scenario to me.
Weakens Napoli, majorly weakens Merda.

Lukaku has been terrible for Inter this season mostly aside the last 2 months.,He’s not even a starter for them.

Him leaving will hurt an Inter - but not that drastically especially if they can find a replacement which I’m sure Marotta will.

This isn’t the 2021 Lukaku.

But I think as you say, a structured deal for Frattesi isn't the worst move... Knows the league and all that.

Maybe they do a buy one get one half price if we grab Berardi as well

Kamada for free, then a striker... Oh my xxx

He shrugged off Tonali and dominated him in physical duels pretty easily though.

Dare I say, same as what Pobega did to Kessie last year

Only way Diaz deserve to stay if he was 5-10mil AM ir RW sub & we sell Messias & Sale.
Adding him to both us just growing a pile of shit.

Losing a player that's integrated and valued within the group is also a risk. There's no guarantee with the little management is willing to invest that they replace him adequately. Who would you upgrade Diaz with for 5-10m?

We can't suffer another season of Messias, Salad, and Diaz as the options for RW.

IF Zhegrova arrives, he will likely make the RW his own within the first 3 months. Kamada would prob start at CAM. There's next to no chance he can be as bad as CDK. Diaz and CDK are complications the management has to resolve.

They have to spend money to bring in a replacement. That in itself is a blow to them.
Not to mention big strikers aren't a dime a dozen on the market right now.

But I can't pretend he hasn't improved this year, that's where I have to disagree. Even his passing, which still sucks, but I've seen a drastic improvement from last year. Of course, an improvement from dogshit to shit isn't great, so believe me, I get it. I wish he showed this improvement last year, giving us the 22/23 season to see what he can do.
On this, I think he's capable of making some through passes if he's given space and time. But like, that's more depending on other team to not play great instead of having passing as reliable skill set to bail himself out of trouble and creating danger.

Hey, I watched Pobega tank a lot of people at Torino, it wasn't just Kessie. The kid also bodied people while playing for us, like how he disrupted Juve. The man has scored more goals than Origi and CDK combined, I'd like to note.

Seems people have forgotten Pobega's rocket against Bologna, but his last game wasn't great, so all his previous good work doesn't count. Damn.

It's weird how Pobega doesn't get the "maybe he can make a jump after his first year?"

That gif selection... you truly are my great and worthy opponent. (Hook reference)

Julian Alvarez is shorter at 1.7 m. Wasn't he the starting striker for Argentina in the WC and one of their best players? For fast counters speed is more important than height. And to receive long balls from the defence, Kamada can do that. For corners and free kicks the team can send any of the other players in the box. Malik Thiaw is quite good at headers in the box as is Tomori.

Nah. Probably 25-35m
23 year old, Serie A experience, Contract expires in 2026.
Napoli and Merda interested.
No way they won't be asking for 45-50M.
It will be a bidding war.

Brahim might be worth to sign as a sub(down the line) even for 20m. He has qualities that are quite rare. I agree with the criticism of him but some people here seem to have developed a form of Brahim derangement syndrome, and actually hate him as a player. A world class dribbler on his day with explosiveness and flair, but not in any way consistent enough yet.

He was such a gem supersub.

Maybe if we stopped pretending Coppa Italia didn’t matter and got the extra 10-12m for winning, maybe we could afford more signings :o
Wait, you get 10-12 mil from winning the Coppa?

Also Coppa Italia “doesn’t matter” only once we’re out of the competition. Nobody would be opposed to winning it lol. Let’s be honest. :o

Any season with silverware > no silverware season.

I blame it on this guy who said he was going to be the next Ambrosini but backed off to next Brocchi.

In conclusion:

1. Deportivo cheated and were doping!

2. Pirlo and the players fault for thinking the job was done

3. Ancelotti blameless for the defeat

Facts :o
I wouldn't rule out doping they were running around like Pokemon it was painful to watch

True but I’m talking about US. Pioli has always played with a big CF and when all else fails, we resort to long balls to Giroud/Ibra that they can bring down and lay off to Leao or Diaz. For Pioli’s system, a small CF won’t work. I’m not talking in general terms. Just talking about OUR current style of play.

Brahim is a very skilled player, for 5-a-side games. Watching him at Milan is like watching a player transition from pick-up games to full 11v11. It's frustrating and annoying.

I don't like him. I'll be damned if I have to start defending Brahim. I just think he's shown improvement.

Does Leeds have any players worth raiding on the low once they are relegated?

Mfers owes us for driving up the CdK price.

Any season with silverware > no silverware season.

That’s what I tell to my Merda and other Serie A friends on Twitter. It’s what I did yesterday shamelessly :o

But in a Milan forum where all of us are Milan fans, do we really need to lie to ourself

As if they’re any Inter fans in here. :o

I think if Openda comes here, I think our play style would be like when Rebic was in form and playing striker for us.

Openda can shoot with both feet, he actually scores more headers than you'd think, and he runs the channels.

I've only watched him a few times, I was paying more attention to Seko Fofana (a great CM) and Salis Abdul Samed (a DM I like) but I think Openda would operate differently to how we've done with Giroud or Ibra.

To play like we did with Ibra, I think Scamacca would be the better choice than Openda. Having both options, of course, would be best.
