The math says that so long as we beat Ladri, no matter Merda or Atalanta win, we will already qualify.
I'd rather Merda lose 3-0 in this situation and Atalanta puts pressure onto them.
Gasperini's boys would be on 64 and Merda would be on 66, forcing them to put out a strong squad for the last match.
Us on 67 points for the last match would allow us to be able to do whatever the fuck we wanted (preferably win to ensure 3rd mathematically) AND start working on the Mercato a week early.
Is there any difference between getting 3rd or getting 4th for Milan?
3rd is important if Merda falls out of top 4, because they would need to absolutely win the UCL in order to qualify next season.
That forces their hand so that they have to play their top squad away against Torino (a motivated Torino who are fighting Monza for 8th place and a European spot) in matchweek 38, and potentially risk injuries just to qualify from the League route.
It would also psychologically affect their fans (they fucking deserve some pressure) for the last two matches of their season.
AND, if Atalanta actually pull off 4th, Merda will be super pressured to perform in the UCL final against a relatively relaxed City side, which would affect their performances, and potentially make those shitters lose the finals.
I want as much psychological pressure on Merda, their team and their fans, as possible in the next 2 to 3 weeks. It will be like torture for them.
