Basically what happened last year. And CDKs fee probably was even offset by Kessies outgoing amortization. I think, to use the journalists language, that our last year's budget probably was close to 0M.

I'd argue last year's budget was closer to 0M than to 50M. That's what made @brk (and Maldini lately?) so upset because he thought after our Scudetto winning season and is increasing revenues, Elliott and Redbird would be finally increase the squad costs accordingly, which didn't happen. Maybe because they are stingy? Or because they were in the process of selling the club and didn't want to change the squad costs and therefore the valuation of the club?

I think this summer will tell us a lot more about Redbird. Revenues have increased again and as brk calculated in his spread sheet, our current squad costs make only 40% of that revenue while FFP would actually allow us to have 70%. However we're in a Settlement Agreement with UEFA and have to meet certain objectives in the next couple of years. So while there's still some balance to retain, we should still be able to increase the squad costs.



Again, that face number has only so much meaning. In my understanding they got even that wrong because our squad costs barely changed, so the budget was closer to 0M than to 50M. See my answers above.

The thing with amortizations is that there might be transfers that are already fully paid for by the previous owners, but appearing on the balance sheet for the next few years as costs. So these would be costs that Redbird doesn't have to pay for. While any new transfers, they have to pay for from the revenued and cover any extra spending beyond the revenues.

Elliott paid for 400 mil worth of Milan losses while they owned the club. We have to see if Redbird is going to put any money in the club to cover expenses beyond what is covered by the revenues.

Agent says Milan target is 'fine' at Empoli but admits exit could materialise

AC Milan have several names on their transfer wish list ahead of the summer but only a few of them will arrive. Tommaso Baldanzi is on that list but the Rossoneri would have to convince Empoli, as stated by the agent.

Milan News reports that we have renewed interest in Berardi who last season extended with Sassuolo and has surpassed Orsolini as priority for a new RW. I know a lot of people here don't regard him highly despite the player having scored 138 goals in Serie A and laugh when his name is mentioned, but I'd love to have him. He's a great crosser, corner and free kick taker that would be very useful to Giroud. Also unselfish and has a ton of assists, not great defensively but does get back to help out, and not fast but also not as slow as people think. Maybe some here have not seen him play enough and have misconceptions as to his value or seen him miss some sitters, stuff that happens to every player including Haaland. Berardi would give us a scoring threat from the right side which would free up Leao more because defenses don't have to worry only about the left. In an ideal scenario I would play him for 60 minutes or so and then bring in Salaemakers for defensive purposes. Sassuolo doesn't sell cheaply but they might make an exception if Berardi really wants us so 25 millions might do it. BTW, I would also try for Scamacca on loan.
I would be ecstatic if we bought Berardi and would laugh at all the "experts" here who mock him.
