Milan News reports that we have renewed interest in Berardi who last season extended with Sassuolo and has surpassed Orsolini as priority for a new RW. I know a lot of people here don't regard him highly despite the player having scored 138 goals in Serie A and laugh when his name is mentioned, but I'd love to have him. He's a great crosser, corner and free kick taker that would be very useful to Giroud. Also unselfish and has a ton of assists, not great defensively but does get back to help out, and not fast but also not as slow as people think. Maybe some here have not seen him play enough and have misconceptions as to his value or seen him miss some sitters, stuff that happens to every player including Haaland. Berardi would give us a scoring threat from the right side which would free up Leao more because defenses don't have to worry only about the left. In an ideal scenario I would play him for 60 minutes or so and then bring in Salaemakers for defensive purposes. Sassuolo doesn't sell cheaply but they might make an exception if Berardi really wants us so 25 millions might do it. BTW, I would also try for Scamacca on loan.
I would be ecstatic if we bought Berardi and would laugh at all the "experts" here who mock him.
