Keep 90% of the team, make just 3-5 signings

New CF, fast and strong
New CM , good at tempo control and passing
New RW, someone dynamic and direct

Spend 50-60m on good players and sell some older and ineffective players with high salaries. Freshen up the team and try to integrate better the younger names like Adli, Vranckx, Saelemakers, Yhiaw, Kalulu and CDK.
Problem it is real hard to sell fodder on high salaries.

Depends entirely on Zhang and how much he’s willing to sell for. Lots of people want Inter but not at his valuation. Same problem we had with Berlusconi. Kept hold too long until it lost almost all value.
Doesn’t the Finnish guy also have to take on the oaktree debt or in a less likely scenario give them a percentage of ownership considering how much debt zhang owes them? The interest rate was high on the loan as well. I don’t think it would be that cheap or appealing to buy inter in their present state. Their financial situation seems like us before elliott took over but with much more revenue.

That’s what I meant. How much Zhang is willing to eat on the sale. Even if their profile increased this summer and they will make more than us in revenue, they still have insane debt and costs and will lose at least 70 or 80m again this year.

Without the prospects of the super league , I don’t think anyone will take a chance on Inter at the valuation Zhang is asking for.

Fact that they now have to build their own stadium and won’t ride our coattails fucks them even more. We are a lot more credible in that and we’ll most likely have our own stadium by 2027/28 or so. Inter will still be in San Siro.

Yea I will believe it when I see it. Italy is a joke. In all of the 20 plus odd years that Silvio was our owner, not once did he ever attempt to help us build our own stadium despite being the prime minister of italy. I doubt redshit would be ant different.

Okay, so the most important question: How does this affect the UCL pots? Are we suddenly pot 2?

Nope. Salzburg/Dinamo are head of us. We’re currently 3rd in pot 3 with 50 points. Arsenal the last member in pot 2 has 76 points.

If Barcelona don’t play we still remain pot 3.

If we did better in Europa League in 17/18, 18/19 and 2020/21, we would have been comfortably in Pot 2. A bit of shame how badly we did in Europa League tbh.

I thought we could win it in 2021 and if we didn’t had so many injuries back then, we could have. No wonder Pioli was super upset after the loss and insulted Solskjaer.

But it doesn’t matter anymore, I don’t want to play EL ever again

Redbird are keen to build a new stadium. Berlusconi never was. He always wanted San Siro. Even recently he said that. He wants Milan to be there. His backwards mentality was holding us back.

Redbird has always made their intention with the stadium clear. They want to build one

For those of the ppl who are saying get Thuram, I am 99.99% sure you have never seen him play. He is not a prolific "Striker", cause he is more of a winger. He is an ok player who will not come and sit on the bench behind leao. And when it does not work out and it is hard to get rid of him, "Paul this ,Paul that, Redcunt" and all other type of fuckery. Cabral scores in this league and knows the league so it maybe less of a risk. If we had allot of money I would be more demanding but we broke bitch. Have to make smart buys.

I don’t want Thuram either, I saw a bit of him in the WC. Kolo Muani impressed me way more.

Gundagon is very good but he is 32. He is smart, strong, technical, very complete player. Jesus Mancity got him for 20 million pounds 7 years ago. He look good in slanted red and black jersey.
Get him and SMS too we are going to play with 11 strong midfielders next year when Mike hurts his hand practicing boxing.

@Kojak get me SMS

Oh ok my bad then. I never really liked Berlusconi tbh. Especially with his outside activities and involvement in certain things I don't want to talk about. I don't care how great of a owner he was, but I never liked his character. Galliani is one sob that benefited the most by getting the opportunity to manage such one of the strongest clubs un the world.

They have no choice. They bet 1.2b in Milan building their own stadium. Without it they’ll never get any sort of return in the investment.

So kamada still not done hahaha

Well, a deal is never done until a contract is signed. He's still a EF player w a match to play tomorrow.

All of Sky, The Athletic, P Berger, Moretto etc says it's a done deal. Cant ask for much more than that.

He finishes the season, comes and signs, most likely. If not, the only thing i can think of is that doorbell brained dini got his way w Diaz, in which case 2 steps back for this club.

Just a reminder, Matteo Moretto and GDM have been the 2 mercato kings this year.

Moretto literally shit on everyone w the Leao deal. Nailed ALL the numbers well over a month ago (maybe 2?), whereas everyone else was spinning diff ones.

MM says the deal w kamada is all agreed, just the German Cup left and then go time.

I'll take his word.

Fab still an A1 source, but #3 in the pecking order now behind the other 2.

Rossoneri will hire a new center forward to work alongside Giroud and are evaluating various profiles: in particular they like Arnautovic from Bologna, Scamacca from West Ham, Beltran from River Plate and in the last few hours the name of Cabral from Fiorentina has also popped up.
wtf is this shit?

Yep. We are losing close to 200-250 mil every year because we don't have our stadium

Our finances without having to pay loans, leasing fees, sharing stadium expenses would be a lot healthier. Probably around 500 mil range. We can compete with the big boys easy if we have our own stadium.

I think you are going way beyond (thats fine) and making it more complicated than my point.
If the avg joe is told they are going to get X and they get X - do they really care about all the calculus behind it? They are just happy they got X

- You keep saying they got it wrong but what I remember is the number was presented (as what we would be able to spend) and you all laughed it off as ludicrous and how would they know etc etc .... at the end of the window we spent around the number.

Thats all I'm saying.

You said it wasnt a good indicator but imho for the average person its fine.

:)

All I'm saying is, those numbers have no real value, there is no calculus behind that makes sense. I mean how many times have medias been "right" in the past about our tesoretto to spend? 20 years? Never? Once? Twice?

Positivity Force leaned out of the window last summer thinking we'd see our squad cost significantly increased accordingly to the increased revenues - and we got heavily burnt because they eventually remained untouched (we'll only know for sure once the numbers from this season are being published). But we were just as wrong as Longos 50M, mind you. Maldini wasn't allowed to spend 50M cash. He only was allowed to spend almost exactly what we'd previously saved from our outgoing players with their outgoing ammortisations and wages.

If you wanna say, let's not take those numbers literally but only as an indicator compared to past mercati, meaning a 50M mercato this year means the same as last year's "50M mercato", which translates to we'll barely see the squad costs increased and therefore have to temper our expectations accordingly and not expect too much. That's an idea I can lean into.

But then I see average Joe taking those numbers literally, throwing tantrums and building whole transfer mercati based only on fees and page long discussions around those arguments - that's where I'm trying to explain why those numbers aren't to be taken literally. Yes, this takes some wall of texts to explain and it's not the most sexy read, sadly. But what can I do? :)

Kamada's signing with #Milan could be postponed by a few weeks due to a bureaucratic aspect linked to Japanese agents.
