Actually yes but that’s his gross salary per year. In Italy we go by net salary and his net salary is £4m per year which would be €4.60m, less than Leao (and Dest )

I think we can negotiate to reduce to €4m net, I don’t think it’s unrealistic.

With that said, I’m sure EPL clubs or Barcelona could offer an increase in his current salary if anything. I doubt we would increase it.

I keep forgetting about this actually. In England it’s gross pay, here in Italy we report it by net.

I’m not very sure how much would be gross pay on our part if we try to match his current salary, that’s more on @brk or @Alo88 expertise, but after reading up on this, I’m starting to believe it’s not the most unrealistic signing.

Gundogan is a really good experienced player and we did pay close to €9m gross and €7m net for Ibra as well which was a fair deal at that point kind you.

Leao/Theo/Bennacer and the likes are still way too young to be receiving that kind of money but it’s a different case with older players I suppose.

What makes you think Spain or Italy are more realistic destinations than England where he currently lives or Germany where he is actually from?
Even if he wants to leave I think there are many clubs out there willing to offer a higher salary and a higher chance of silverware than Milan.

If he leaves City then he's obviously looking for a brand new experience so I can't see him joining another EPL team plus he almost spent a decade playing for various clubs in Germany. Therefore, he's probably more like to join Barcelona/RM or Juve although I wouldn't rule us out of the picture completely.

Rw I am quite impressed with georges madiutudze. Probably butchered his surname but who cares. I see some potential there however he does do some tricks which gets him in trouble at times.

Agree on SMS + Gundogan but I don't rate RLC at all...he's a flashy player but that's about it plus his defensive stats are much worse than Tonali's and he average practically zero goal contributions. Also, if we sign the other two players then we definitely don't need him.

Thuram would be a good signing for free although I think that M&M will probably target somebody stronger. As for RW, Georges looks very good but has yet to be tested in Ligue 1. Also, based on the latest reports, I think we're more likely to sign Zhegrova and/or Bounani for 20m combined who are equally impressive.
