Lol do you even realise that we had the highest transfer spend in Serie A last summer (43.5m)? In comparison, Juve, Napoli, Roma, Lazio + Atalanta all registered net DEFICITS which means their sales exceeded their purchases. Therefore, it's not RedBird's fault that M&M squandered the money on CDK and failed to generate a single penny from sales which could've been used to fund additional signings.

Re Dybala, you're missing the point completely. His 19 Serie A goal contributions would've made us a genuine Scudetto contender and we wouldn't have had to rely on Juve's points penalty just to limp into the top 4. Also, he fired Roma to the Europa league final (and scored) so could've also made the difference against Inter too. Lastly, had we signed Dybala for free we could've used the 35m wasted on CDK to solve the RW problem once and for all and probably won the league for the second season running.

Re Florenzi, yes he was helpful during our Scudetto win but after analysing his injury record, I pointed out it would be foolish to redeem him permanently and he's barely played 200 mins this season after landing a lucrative 3 year contract with 18m gross wages. As for Baka, there were rumours that we were going to terminate his loan or find him another club after he barely played last season and this year he's earned 5m just for 39 mins work

I take your point re Ibra given his history (although it's still questionable renewing a 40yo) and Adli where the fault clearly lies with Pioli (although I actually didn't list Adli as 'M&M's mistake' in my previous post).

However, the buck stops with M&M who are in charge of the sporting area and they were given the MOST money to spend in Serie A last summer (pre-sales) and ended up wasting it on the mother of all flops and a bunch of players who Pioli refuses to play (didn't they bother consulting him?) whilst selling nobody and handing out lucrative contracts to non-contributors like Baka, Origi, Florenzi, Dest + Ibra.

The problem with RedBird is that they still own 600m plus interest to Elliott. They are a small company compared to Elliott (and other high-profile owners) and completely risk-adverse financially. They are never going to go to the limit of what's allowed to within FFP.

The transfer market last year was a complete disaster. People need to stop pretending it was anything else. It's a miracle this team came 5th and managed to get into CL due to Juve's 10 point deduction. Maldini now paid for it. It couldn't be more simple.

This club is now officially a business and in business there's something called accountability.

Moncada instead of Maldini is not the big problem. I think Moncada can also do a good job with enough resources. The big problem is the amount of resources Redshit provide. If Redshit are willing to make even 150 mil of losses over the next 2-3 yearsm they can make Milan a 3-4 billion worth club in 3-4 years time. With just 2-3 more Theo / Leao type players MIlan would be right up there next to PSG, Bayern,.. And it's not like they have to buy a readymade Leao type player for the RW or striker position. If they are just willing just to do a few 30-40 mil type signings then some of them will become the new Leao and new Theo.

Redshit want to play it safe and just try to get top 4 every year. They are not ambitious.
