We are seen as the laughing stock right now. Rivals fans laughing at us which is predictable but what I’m finding humourous is Liverpool/Chelsea/Arsenal fans and other Prem-tards telling their owners to hire Maldini  and saying how much Milan truly fucked up. Even they fucking know the incredible job Maldini did for gods sake.

[Gazzetta] On top of Moncada-Furlani, Cardinale wants to hire Billy Beane from Moneyball The Movie

Holy shit. If this happens... I can't wait to see the justifications for this. I can't fucking wait.
I thought you were being sarcastic this time

Until I read the article and… it’s actually true

Ok this is officially madness

As told yesterday live and on @cmdotcom , the relationship between Pioli and Maldini had cracked a bit in the last period with different visions. The bad defeats in the derbies had marked the first crack in a relationship of great mutual respect and trust - Longo

you mean to tell me Maldini wanted to fire Pioli? 😭

I've met a lot of men in business, and I don't trust Gerry for a minute.

He's a voiceless absent owner, that hasn't said anything to anyone to outline anything or explain any decisions... Yet folk are quick to read into Maldini's words and use them against him.

Why so much trust in Gerry? Please, can someone tell me just one thing this guy has done to instil such blind faith?

I'll say it again, be careful what you wish for... Milan can move on, and succeed, but this isn't a firm base on which to do it.

American owners want to follow the Liverpool model.

They want the whole package - success on the pitch and marketability/branding, increased revenues....most of times in the mix they fuck things up on the football side.

It can work, as done with Liverpool. Let's see. No point keep bitching and crying we've done that enough over the years.

Can’t believe I’m going to say this, and I might regret this in the future, but thank fucking god

I need someone to keep things grounded and convince our players to stay. I do not want anyone sold. Pioli is that guy.

oh you have seen the light

we love to see this

Fair point...Moncada MIGHT have endorsed CDK's signing but this is where the Furlani-Moncada dual partnership comes into effect as I'm sure Giorgio would've overruled him and convinced him to sign Dybala instead. Regardless, even if we did still end up signing CDK, Moncada had practically closed deals for both Enzo + Muani so three transfer masterstrokes (including Thiaw) and one bomb is still excellent business. After all, nobody can be right 100% of the time.
Not getting dybala
Not getting kvara ffs
Not getting muani. This muani kid I dont know about so I can let that slide.

But the above 2 were apauloing decisions even for Paula's standards. Appalling to say the least.

For those of you saying “ofc Pioli is staying..he will coach Verona etc”.

You do realise after the last 3 years and the achievments he probably joined a group managers thats being hunted by the big teams? If he leaves he will still end in a TOP 5 team. And im not saying Top5 in a farmers league (beside Ligue 1)

Teams like Napoli/Inter/even Chelsea/Spurs would try and go for Pioli like it or not
He already coached Inter and already been fired, Chelsea just hired Pochettino, Napoli and Tottenham? Sure, but are they bigger than Milan and are they more likely to win? No

To all the people seething over the Maldini thing, it's a justifiable emotion as we can now see the direction these owners are taking, it hurts but what choice do we have other than to get on board? These motherfuckers are just passing through and yet again we wait for new owners to take us to the next level-frustrating!

If our goal is just to get to top 4 and that approach helps us build a stadium in the long run by curbing spending for player investments then it's worth it like maybelline.

I have to admit I no longer see Krunic the same way. This picture is too cute.

My anti-agenda on Krunic on hold unless @Pigeon bashes Bennacer too much.

Not like I have a choice. I don’t want the team failing apart. The best thing about Pioli is that he’s a well liked figure in the locker room

Genuinely won't bother me, I've never seen a team look so disorganised or unmotivated at times in massive games, the guy is a very average manager he's lucky he is getting to stick around

I think he and the other guy mentioned are just heads of the data company Redbird owns. Besides when Maldini took the reigns he walked in the door with Giampaolo...if he gets to have Giampaolo I'm willing to give Gerry some leeway here

Do you think the mercato Maldini was spearheading would have accomplished that? I have my doubts. I'm just willing to let this play before acting like the sky is falling
You were the one championing the brilliance of RLC a short time ago, no?

This isn't even about Maldini, as a personality or figure, legend, whatever. If our SD was named Mr Fart, I wouldn't want to fire him after a bad year. I think that'd be stupid.

I didn't care about firing Pippo. So it isn't about legends or whatever, lol. Guintoli kept his job after spending over 160m and getting... 7th. And then 5th the next year. And he still kept his job and now Napoli are champions.

I don't see brilliance or competence in what is unfolding. I am cashing out my "wait and see" chips, sorry. If we win the CL, great, Moncada can dance and talk shit, Gerry, too.

But I don't see intelligence here. I see bad management.

Honestly, what timing would’ve been better? Mid-market? The window hasn’t opened yet so plenty of time for the new guys to settle + it looks like Moncada and Furlani are the ones who’ll primarily run the show so the transition should be rather smooth you’d think.

This is a complete PR disaster and they've literally thrown a grenade on the team the day after season's end. The day after Ibra retires.

It shows complete indifference and a lack of respect to the players, the fans, the people involved.

Give it a fucking week, even a couple days.

This move could divide an already fractious support even more, how is that a good thing for building?

As @Samaldinho has said, the only was this ownership can now get lots of people onside is with an immediate upturn in fortune(star 2) and opening the wallet.

Any good will or patience with Gerry is now out the window...

I honestly fear the worst for this club in the short term!

Are you the real Niko Kranjcar?
Lol I am serious. Nickname is 20 years old. I live in Zagreb and I met boban in couple of occasions. Last time in his restaurant. He knows I am a crazy Milan fan. He also told me that Leao was his deal with Lille, just like bringing back Ibrahimovic. Maldini had nothing with this

Tbf pioli the beautiful bald bastard helped us beat napoli and Rube. Draw with roma twice and beat atalanta plus tottenham. Only loss being to Inter. It's not too bad. Good overall. I agree inter loses hurt badly but hey our team composition just wasn't right to face them. Inter are a very good side whose strengths seem to exploit our weakness. It's a matchup issue. We need to play differently. Also seems to be a bit of a mental scar sadly.

I always supported General in his feud vs Qaas. Seeing his reaction to this Maldini sacking was shocking to me. He had a bigger heel turn than Stone Cold at WM17. I am officially in team Forza Qaas and fuck jenny coke now.

The way redbird handle maldini sacking is inexcusable, this is ac milan not fucking waystar royco

I still don't get why they sack maldini instead of pioli first. If redbird deemed this season as a failure then pioli should be the first one to shoulder the blame. Maldini and massara didn't set up the tactic when we get raped by lazio, sass and merda

It seems very reactionary and childish to me.

Gerry wants to be the big dog, he's a small man with money, so uses that money, swings his little dick and gets rid of someone who will ALWAYS be more of a legend than Gerry ever will be.

Folk are so quick to say Maldini isn't bigger than Milan or that he doesn't take ownership of his mistakes. Trust and respect are earned where I'm from and I simply don't understand this quick and blind want to follow Gerry into battle?

Such cuck behaviour...

Well I tend to be a glass-half-full guy, you show me a player linked to Milan and I will try my best to see how he fits and improves the team. I've done the same with Kamada. Neither player is my first choice

I don't think it had anything to do with one poor mercato, which I'm sure didn't help, but a fundamental disagreement over how things should be run

If the guy writing the checks wants Milan to be run like Toulouse 2.0 then he gets to make it Toulouse 2.0

And that's fine if you don't want to give them a chance, they have certianly scorned the fanbase. Completely understandable
