I agree he shouldnt be fired.
But he forced RB to give him full power & then followed it by his worst mercato in his carrer.
Am only arguing with people who are denying that last fact.

But if you put a gun to my head & ask me to choose between Maldini & Moncada i will choose Moncada.
The best way was to keep them both
But unfortunately thats not the case
Hopefully this is for the best

Maldini is a legend, but business and emotional matters should be kept separate, and shouldnt count.

Point is, Maldini did a bad job, invested more then 50m on players like cdk, Vasques, Adli, Dest, Vrancks, Toure, Origi and everyone failed and almost didnt play.
Letting 4 players leave for free last season aswell.

And now we were linked with Arnautovic, Berardi, Morata etc..

I can understand the decision, legend or not.
If someone else was our director instead of Maldini, nobody was complaining him being fired.

Gattuso, Seedorf, Inzaghi, Brocchi icons, al got fired aswell, because they did a bad job.

Hopefully new good times will come.

You are full of bullshit. And you can’t even keep up with your lies

Over the last few years you were unprovokedly quoting people who dared to question maldini and management with some passive aggressive posts… but suddenly you out here pointing out all the wrong things he did, to justify his sacking

you just exposed your fake persona
Let me see you call someone an interisti, juventini or whatever the fuck you like to throw out there
people just now realizing hes full of shit ?
dude was under fire and opted the easy way out :fp:

He let them for free coz they wanted more money and he had a Salary cap hw would ve kept them if he had the permission to give them higher wages

I dont think so. He waited way too long to start negotiations
We signed Leao, Theo, Bennacer, and the rest. We're still talking about fucking Kessie, Donnaruma and Hakan? Give me a break.

Pep was never fired.
Carlo on the other hand was fired almost everywhere including a mid season gtfo with Bayern.
But but but

All coaches run their course and get fired eventually

Did you see my latest post, Nico Schira posted a link that Pioli was one of the disagreements.

One thing against Maldini: he lacks diplomacy.. confrontation is the only thing he knows and thats not a good thing.

@Samaldinho @Alo88 @brk thoughts

Was Pioli really one of the factors :(

I don’t think anyone knows.

My best guess is Gerry always wanted Maldini out and to have his own people run the show, based almost entirely around analytics. He couldn’t it do it last summer because we won and starting off by losing Maldini was a hugely embarrassing way to start off. The disappointing performance this season was enough of an excuse to pull the trigger. But overall, I don’t think RB should even be disappointed with the performance this season. CL semis, qualifying (barely) is a good result for them. They made tons of money. I don’t think it has to do with performance.

I also don’t think it had to do with Pioli. They wouldn’t blow up their capital with fans because of Pioli. They made a huge move, one that has far reaching consequences for fan perception. It’s bigger than Pioli.

In my mind the only reason is power, and a difference of opinion about targets. Maldini wants to win now and spend to get guarantees. Investment ‘now’. Gerry wants it slow, keep taking smaller risks and coast with a profit, develop his portfolio of smaller clubs that will feed Milan until we build the stadium and then he can flip the club for a huge payday.

We’re about to turn into a pure moneyball analytics machine. Maldini wanted another direction. They clashed and Maldini had to go. I honestly think this is the only explanation and it was going to happen sooner or later unless Maldini kept winning enough where it was impossible for him to get fired.

So Arnautovic was basically already at ManU but his transfer fell apart at the last moment.

Now Arnautovic was almost at Milan but again the transfer didnt go through.

Talk about bad luck

Pioli > Spal.
So it was a good thing we went with Pioli.
Its still Maldini choice.
We didnt get Botman & MMM got Thiaw.
So its no big deal if we miss on good players/staff as long as we dont get bad ones.
How couldve it been Maldini's choice when you clearly admit he was only given full reign this season????
You are blaming every bad thing on him like he had unlimited funds and chose to make every bad decision - like every player that came and failed was his fault with no input from Moncada.

I get that the buck stops with him so he has to go but we know the context of many of these moves so I will ask you a question - If Moncada gets 50 mill budget and picks players and we finish 6th that means this whole new management team needs to go and we start again fresh next season?

Like you throw Lazetic at Maldini's feet but that wreaks of the move this new team want to make over and over again. Messias? Who was the alternative? Because every player rumored was over 20 mill? Origi? You believed that one in your bones. There are multiple reports Muani chose Germany for the specific reason many players do to raise their profile but we turned him away?

If you believed the reports we fumbled Enzo then you have to believe the same reporting that we did our part but Randal wanted Germany.

Indeed.
Too passionate for the diplomacy on that level.
