I don’t have an issue with the “analytics” approach, in fact, I think it’s very much the correct approach for a club in Milan’s position. This approach is actually what got us to the point where we were able to win a Scudetto, finish top 4 consistently, and reach a CL SF.
Agree

It'll be interesting seeing a big club go down this path. I think out of all the sports, football has the potential for the highest return with an analytical approach because of how free the market is

The image of Gerry tossing bandwagon Milan fans out of a window puts a smile on my face for some reason. :ibralol:
Who's ready for some defenestration?

I'm not so glad when I hear fans complain and bitch due to mistreatment of a club legend

But everyone and their way of fun I guess

So you are unhappy that fans complain and bitch about Paolo being mistreated? :ibralol:?

So now you agree that somebody’s “track record” and his past performance is not indicative of future results? Because last year you were 200% on board the Cardinale train and you kept touting his past “accomplishments” outside of football as the reason why you thought he’d be a better owner than Investcorp.
As facts change, your opinion can change. I've been wrong before, I'll be wrong in the future.

I contrasted Cardinale's leadership to Todd Boehly's. Todd literally scrapped everything when he took over, he then fired Tuchel, saying that "it was brewing" and then hired Potter, and he tried to say that it was some sort of orchestrated move. Did you think that Todd Boehly was doing a great job at Chelsea? Did you think he was doing a "fantastic" job by any chance? I didn't.

To me, for the purposes of Milan, I thought by keeping a very good management in place, Cardinale was showing proper leadership, and he obviously has a very strong track record with his investments and work before Milan. The fact that Maldini made demands, and they were seemingly met by Redbird, made me trust his public statements.

I also thought Investcorp were a serious organization, but since Elliott's ownership of Milan was successful, having them involved with Redbird made me inclined towards them over Investcorp. So, I was not banging the table that Investcorp were evil, just that I thought the pros of Redbird were more in favor than Investcorp, based on the information at hand.

I don't feel the need to hold onto positions stubbornly. I used to be a very strong supporter of Pioli, but I have become one of his harshest critics.

I'm simply sharing my opinions here. Because I love Milan. I didn't like CDK, but if becomes the next Kaka/Messi hybrid, I'll be the happiest man in the world. If Pioli transforms into Pep and Carlo in one, again, I will be the happiest person.

I don't care about being wrong, because I will be and have been, I just want Milan to win.

The news coming out since Maldini left has been beyond fucked. Fucking padre with more transfer power? Now hes at the level of Klopp Guardiola etc? This is crazy. Removing Maldini for Pioli and Billy beans insights? I'm really not a negative person but this is crazy. I love our squad and hope for the best anyways. They have really fucked with our heads. Insane.

Berlusconi's helicopter & Galliani's golden tie
The biggest failure of Marcus aurelius' lifetime was probably handing down the reign for nepotism reasons rather than by merit like before him during the 5 good kings
I'd like to get into it deeper but we are little off topic, people are mad and confused at the moment regarding the club so before i get abused I'll just say this one last thing.

It wasn't just nepotism imo there were alot of things that resulted into that situation.
Firstly none of those previous Emperors had sons, they elected the next man out of necessity. Then later in life Marcus offered the title to his son in law tiberius claudius pompeianus, a great and capable man but he refused the crown 3 times, when Avidius Cassius revolted as a result of false information provided by Marcus' wife, it forced Marcus to urgently naming Commodus.

Marcus gave that boy the best tutors, education, real life experience and capable honest men advising him, yet Commodus became who he is remembered for and the downward spiral of the Roman Empire begins with him.

So in other words.... you would rather fans shut up and allow the mistreatment of Paolo to happen? :ibralol:?

Hey man

You just converted to Pioli out

I was born in it

We both know why he is hanging around, he's willing to play ball and Maldini wasn't
If you're Pioli out... then... I'm like modern death metal and you're Metallica.

I don't listen to death metal, nor Metallica, but... I think that makes sense.

Hm, the free-market aspect actually is a good point.

I just wonder where the limit of data is since the sport doesn't have the discreet segmentation of roles, parameters, and point scoring that American sports lend themselves to, y'know?

We've got the politics of ancient history discussions now?

RnB is truly a magical place.

Apparently Camarda is already 6ft hence the promotion to the Primavera along with his prolific goalscoring.

Background: confirmations arrive to what was written by @Corriere this morning. Cardinale had proposed a consultant role to Maldini, a proposal never taken into consideration by the former director of the technical area

I don't think so. They have a very strong young LB named Nuno Mendes, so I'm not sure if that's an area of concern for them.

But who knows? PSG looks like they're going to be going through another reconstruction phase, and it looks like they're getting Nagelsmann.

I really want Pioli to prove to me

He has nothing left to prove to anyone.

3 year of top 4 finishes on a shoestring budget and a forward line of TWO 40 year olds.

Not even carlo could have gotten us those results

Wasn't it Campos calling Moncada?

The way it was framed sounded more like PSG trying to sign one of our stars.
