I follow a few YouTube channels run by Inter and Roma fans. They cover Milan games too – because that’s how you maximize reach – and I appreciate their takes since they’re competent, fair, and offer perspectives outside our own biased fan bubble.

Every single one of them sees this deal as a massive win for Milan. And every single one of them can hardly believe hearing Milan fans or YouTubers scoffing at it. Their reaction is basically:

'You're playing Emerson freaking Royal, and now you have the chance to bring in a right-back on a very favorable deal – a player who, just last summer, was considered one of the top three RBs in the world by most pundits – and you're turning your noses up at it? Are you guys out of your minds!?'

I was skeptical at first too. But considering these same accounts correctly predicted how disastrous Emerson would be – just like we all did – and how unrealistic it was to expect Fonseca to succeed here, their praise for Walker and the way they're applauding Milan for securing him on such a low-risk deal actually puts me at ease.

We are playing it because his substitute Calabria is beyond useless presently . If Walker can play at high lever a year or two more , would be a good signing , while in a mean time we keep Emerson as his substitute .

Agree, horrible thing to do and no one seemed to jump in to sort it
I thought a few folk looked pissed and certainly shot Royale daggers. Not sure what the fuck he was trying to do... Shame no one played the ball in behind him for an easy run at our goal.

Fans of other teams tend to have less rose-tinted classes when it comes to looking at other clubs.

There's plenty of people who favor one player/management/coach to others, and thus our biases and the data supporting that will dictate certain opinions. If you prefer Italians, if you prefer black players, etc.

It's hard to change preconceived notions. Many hated things like the selling of Gigio, purchase of Mike, purchase of Giroud, purchase of Pulisic. It was only after these players proved us wrong consistently that peoples opinions changed.

Same goes with Elliot when they first came in. Opinions were overwhelmingly negative. Vulture fund who knew nothing about football.

Oh yeah, and when we lose, it's always the end of the world somehow.

I wasn't around for Van Basten, either, but... I watched videos of him. He was insane. R9 from 2002-2005 was still an all-time great, and I think he was rediscovering that form when he came to Milan, but then he unfortunately got injured again.

Suarez is a great striker, but he's in that... Ibra-Lewa-Sheva-Henry tier, just below the GOATs of Van Basten, R9, and Puskas.
Ask to Barca fans if Suarez is at the same level of Zlatan...

Disrespecting Maldini all you want but what he achieved here is something that Gerry, Mongcada, Ibra, redshit, americunts etc.. can only dream of. He is the most important man in Milan’s history and always will be. The disrespect we show him has led to miserable consequences like this. The ungrateful will never go unpunished.
I respect him very much. If only he had taken the penalty many years ago, I would respect him even more, if that's even possible!

not contesting his goal scoring ability.

that's his superpower ....as an english character of Mortal Kombat or Street Fighter

The amount of hours I spent playing this game was unhealthy.

he's 182cm tall  he wishes he was giroud sized. he's most likely a bum i watched a lot of tape on him when we were first linked and i think it's very unlikely he breaks 10 goals / season in any top league. a lot of his goals come from fidgeting w the ball in the box clumsily. He wont have that much space and time in any half decent league and i just dont think he'll be able to adapt

Almost all of gimenez's goals make me think "oh man eredivisie defenders and gks are ass" but pepi is strong, fights for every ball and is pretty fast

but what he has over gimenez is an obvious nose for goals and positioning. he places his shots really nicely and quite powerfully, doesnt think about it much when there's a clear path towards the goal, i think he can become a legit legit poacher. his goals are a lot more transferrable to a higher level

Villa losing good for us right
Yes, we can leapfrog them, Atalanta and Monaco with a win tomorrow. Top 8 gets easier.
Atalanta also faces Barca in their last match, so points will be dropped either way.

Also realized Villa is an English team, so also good for coefficients as well.

From Forza Milan:

Market Recap:

The management had a meeting today and at Milanello they also spoke with #Conceicao about the negotiations in progress. #Walker, who has been closed for days, is on his way, while #Milan is mainly negotiating to get a centre forward.

With #Feyenoord there is a dialogue for #SantiagoGimenez. The negotiation is very complicated not only for the economic issue (the Dutch club is asking for 40 million euros) but also because first they need to sell to sort out the lists. However, the Mexican is the main objective at the moment, #Moncada has been following him for two years, there have already been contacts with his entourage in the past and therefore there is total knowledge and appreciation on the part of the player. However, an insertion of #Marseille should be noted.

There is still no negotiation for #JoaoFelix, but Milan has let #Chelsea know that they are willing to make a loan deal with the right to buy, if at the end of the transfer window the Portuguese is considered surplus to requirements. At the moment the English club, which has excellent relations with Milan, has not put the former #AtleticoMadrid player on the market.

We report contact with #EintrachtFrankfurt for the German club's centre-forward #OmarMarmoush (15 goals so far in the Bundesliga) before he accepted City, while a source informs us of an interest in #Cunha from Wolves (a club in Mendes' orbit).

For #Pavlovic, #Fenerbahce's offer is 15 million euros, an offer that does not satisfy Milan. #EmersonRoyal has rejected #Galatasaray... but Milan wants to sell him and the feeling is that the Brazilian full-back essentially wants a better offer on the salary and on the contract formula to accept, perhaps from the English clubs that are following him: #Everton, #Fulham and #Wolves themselves.

In midfield, there is a dialogue with #BorussiaDortmund for #GiovanniReyna and we confirm that of #AlanVarela, a 2001-born midfielder playing for #Porto. #Ricci from #Torino is a negotiation that Milan intends to resume in June. However, even in midfield without the exits there is a stalemate. The contact with #ManchesterCity for the 34-year-old #Gundogan, did not come to fruition, because the German footballer wants to stay in England until June when his contract year with City expires.

Final indiscretion from one of our sources who today told us about a sensational idea for #Fagioli-#Bennacer exchange with Juve!

I appreciate your perspective and greatly value your opinion--but offers come for players who either want to be sold or the club want to sell. The club wanted to sell Tonali, it was revelaed that Moncada didn't want Tonali (so selling him made sense once Moncada took over) but Leao and Theo don't want to go. Hell, Tomori doesn't want to go, but the club wants to push him out.

Just because Milan are bad sellers, doesn't mean that our players aren't valuable. Moncada and company are being taken advantage of. Kalulu's price looks like a bargain now, as does CDK's renegotiated deal with Atalanta.

The point is, Leao would cost more than Kvara if we wanted to sell him, I'm confident in that. The thing is... he doesn't want to go, and I highly doubt the club thinks now is a good time to sell him. We've seen what this team looks like when Leao isn't playing. It's bad.

I think Leao gets more scrutiny than any other player in Serie A. Lautaro goes weeks without scoring and there's this "oh well, hope he gets out of his slump!" And unlike Leao, Lautaro is a striker, scoring is his job. He misses important penalties, but there isn't this narrative over him being mentally weak. He plays for a much better organized team that has a great manager, he is shielded from heat because of them being able to still get results without him.

Meanwhile, we have people here saying Martinelli is a better winger than Leao, which is absurd.

We are not in 8th place because of Leao. We've been even worse when he isn't in the team.

It's funny, last year, Napoli was absolute dogshit, worse than we are this year, and were people talking about how it is Kvara's fault? Kvara does not get any of the heat that Leao gets.

When has Leao been able to play with a striker like Osimhen or even Lukaku? When has he had a coach as good as Conte or Simone Inzaghi?

If Leao wanted to leave like Kvara did, the best teams in the world would go for him. He doesn't want to leave. He's said he was a Milan fan as a kid, he has said he wants to stay here, if he wanted to leave, he would have already, and if he wants to in the summer, there will be a bidding war for him.

Cassano the moron talked about Mudryk, the donkey, who got bought by Chelsea and asked why they didn't buy Leao. Did the rat-brained Cassano ever consider that Leao wouldn't want to go to the circus that is Chelsea?

If CDK, Adli, Kalulu, and Sales can look better after leaving a poorly run Milan, I imagine Theo and Leao would look even better.

Oh, and sidenote, I met Coach Cooley, he had some pretty bold things to say lol.

Post in thread 'The Rumour Commode XLVI: Jetski for Prick edition'
https://forum.acmilan-online.com/th...i-jetski-for-prick-edition.16721/post-4073987

Aston Villa dropped points. The path is very clear. All that needs to happen is:
Milan to win both games
Real and Liverpool to not lose against Brestois and Lille
Atletico and Leverkusen play each other so at least one of these teams will drops points.
Bonus if Boloney can take points off of Dortmund (low percentage, but still possible... hopefully...)
