There are far too many to name past & present
People being jealous of PSG just shows how badly we are mismanaged by Redshit. :proud:

We beat them a season ago.
Yes, they are playing better now.
But the problem is that we are playing much much worse.

PSG wage bill is also 100m more than the Citeh. Our wage bill only lacks behind by 469m.

According to TMW yesterday Furlani met in person with Tony D'Amico, Atalanta's SD since 2022 when he replaced Sartori. The Bergamo club has had good transfers since then, players that fit Gasperini's system in addition to one of the better youth systems in the league, so great scouts as well.

Paratici remains the favorite for the job but Furlani wants to do his due diligenze before making a final choice and so the appointment will not be made as quickly as it was hoped. The problem with D'Amico is that he's under contract with Atalanta who are in the UCL race as well as fighting for the scudetto, mere 3 points behind Inter that they're playing Sunday. D'Amico is relatively young at 45 and has learned from the best, so not a bad choice but Paratici has loads of experience and is free to come right away, like Tare who I believe is now how of the race.

Talking about PSG, it's nice to see three midfielders with a good workrate and passing ability, without any of them being defensively oriented.

I'm almost jealous of clubs that can connect more than 5 passes in a row. :o

Yep. We are playing like shit.
But the refs definitely aren't on our side either.

Liverpool should have been given a penalty yesterday for a tackle on Salah inside the box.
Ref? No penalty. No VAR check.

Fucking gold.
I think when you consider Liverpool was hopelessly outplayed in game 1, made to look very average and won by a lucky goal (Donnarumma could've done better), and then PSG also outplayed them game 2 as well other than first 30 min... I wouldn't have given that penalty, unintentional hand up & he already touched the ball. PSG far better team in this tie deservedly through.

But to your first point, I do agree and there are inconsistencies IMO in refereeing... For example, I notice if a team is being outplayed completely and the team being outplayed should get a penalty etc., they tend not to call them as much. Sure, it's unfair to the team dominating to concede to a penalty but the rules are the rules.

When you have Rovella and Neto in flop line up, it means that it is not that bad.

However, the main problem was Juventus approach and I do not know it was done by Agneili or Paratici.

After years of smart buys like Tevez, Pirlo, Lich, Pogba, Barzagli, Evra, Vidal, Pjanic, Dybala, … for cheap and reaching two CL finals, they switched to Galacticos spending stars on Higuain, CR7, De Light, Arthur, Velahovic,… which for me all of them flopped considering their spending.

In another world, they switched from one of the best wll-run club in the world to one of the poorest.

Milan, not just the sports director: Furlani evaluates the inclusion of a Head of Football. The names in the running

The long Rossoneri spring. From 20 March onwards, we will enter the operational phase of Milan's restructuring at managerial level: Giorgio Furlani is carrying out a whole series of talks and meetings aimed at finding the profile best suited to the club's needs for the role of sporting director. And it is precisely the inclusion of a professional figure of this type in the managerial cadres that has found total convergence between the Rossoneri CEO, the patron of Red Bird Gerry Cardinale and the Operating Partner of the US fund and Senior Advisor to the Ownership and Senior Management of the Rossoneri club Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

NOT ONLY THE SPORTS DIRECTOR - In recent days, several strategic meetings have been staged at Casa Milan. Zlatan Ibrahimovic at the headquarters is something significant in this Rossoneri historical moment. A sign of how the Swede feels more than ever a protagonist in the dynamics of the Rossoneri club, with a more managerial role than he has done this season. Among the evaluations underway is that of inserting a Head of Football: a profoundly different figure from that of the sporting director, his focus would be aimed at a synthesis between the dynamics of the field and the "political" ones in institutional salons.

POSSIBLE CANDIDACIES - The basic idea would be to focus on a figure who can embody the values of Milanism and who has some experience in the world of football, even in a different role than that of the footballer. The current President of the technical sector of the Italian Football Federation Demetrio Albertini responds to this identikit and could become an idea, Milan for several years has been tempted by the possibility of bringing Massimo Ambrosini back to the Rossoneri, for whom the esteem is very high. Ideas and suggestions at the moment, Furlani has to choose if there is room for a general manager within the club. This possibility also depends on his will.

I also not that sold on D’Ammmuco. Atalanta is a well-oiled machine having great coach and structure and he just comtinued the plan.

Sartori is the one whi should we go after who built this Atlanta from 2014-2022 and now building Bologna. He also worked with limited funding and chase a lot of challanges in Atlanta and Bologna but ivercame all. Too bad he extended his contract until 2027 with Bologna on Feb. I believe we moved slow again.

D, Amico however did not worked bad at all. Just look at this fucking summer transfer.

Overall I am excited that we are going in the right direction appointing an ept DS which they should have done after Maldini departure.

I am now sure that Mocanda was the one who messed up this season as both Furlani and Ibra now demand more power. Ibra was also a culprit with that God created BS.

Furlani probably trusted them, and given the power he is getting from Elliot, wants to do all appointment by himself and put his guys in places. That is why Tare out of the pic, not because he is bad, but because Ibra absolutely wanted him.

I would take Albertini in a heartbeat.
VP of FIGC (maybe that'll tip the scales of favoritism back in our favor) and most importantly:

None of this will matter if they have Ibrahimovic making decisions. Can't have a narcissistic person working as part of a group. Some place, somehow, there will be problems. I think it's exactly what we are experiencing this year. The idea, as they described it, was that there will be "a group" of people making sporting and transfer decisions. Not sure who this "group" includes, but by the looks of it, it's Furlani, Moncada and Ibra. Not much of a "group" if you ask me. But you add the "Ibra complexity" (aka narcissism) in there....and there is no longer "a group"......but insteqd, one person thinking he knows it all and it should be as he thinks, always.

Does Ibra answer to the "head of football"? Does everyone on the sporting side answer to that person? Including the SD? If so....Ambro is not the guy. Albertini, yes. 100%. Bring him in and make him work. Give him 3-5 years to build. This (time) is important. Of course...there needs to be progress each year.

The best thing this club can do is get rid of Ibrahimovic. If they keep Moncada, simply make him a scout, or in charge of the scouting department. But nothing more. Then, hire an SD with a good track record and give him the freedom to work.
Furlani will stay no matter what. At least until Elliot is paid back.
