Which honestly says more about Pulisic than CDK. Pulisic put up those numbers in a chaotic, dysfunctional Milan side – CDK did it in a well-drilled, well-coached Atalanta team that played to his strengths. And yet... I look at the numbers, and sure, they're fine... but I just can't buy in.
There’s something about CDK that’s always felt off to me. Not my cup of tea. And no. this has nothing to do with Maldini. I was vocal about my doubts well before we signed him. Every time I watch him, I see a player who looks... meh. Not bad, not great – just perpetually underwhelming. His body language doesn’t exactly scream confidence. He disappears when things get tough. And mentally? I’m not sure the stability is there.
He landed in the perfect environment with Gasp. Structured system, clear role, less pressure. But the moment Atalanta took a dip, CDK dipped even harder. That’s not the kind of player I’d ever want us to spend 35M+ on.
