I agree but the bulk of their training comes from the coaching staff, if Conceicao was able to change things so drastically, it doesn't seem like Mike was resistant to it by being unprofessional, but by the poor environment, no?

On this I agree. Fonseca (and to an extent Pioli from the previous year) may have let them do what they wanted without weighing them down. It's a failure on the coaching team for allowing things to go that far.

Heck, even Jovic looked a lot better after losing a few stones.

Doesn't mean the players themselves were faultless though. They let themselves indulge and got fat and out of shape.

We never hear about CR7 having this issue, even when he was at Ladri. Or Pippo Inzaghi for that matter. All those interviews about how he keeps himself in tip-top shape.

Caprile is the other one mentioned by most media and my favorite among Italians because won't cost a lot and has a ton of potential. When he replaced an injured Meret at Napoli they didn't miss a beat. At Cagliari was outstanding, big reason why they avoided relegation.

Caprile is my top choice as well, although I would really love for Petrović to be included in the Mike deal, their fans seem to really rate him and he had a good loan in France.

Chelsea has too many goalies, so adding one of them to make up the difference in valuation we have with Chelsea on Mike would be ideal imo.

The dream scenario for me would be to sell Mike for 20 million + Petrović, and then get Caprile on loan with an option for ~17-20. Let the two of them fight it out and hopefully one of them emerges
