For years people have criticised our club for not cashing in on players. When we finally do make some good profit they're still not happy

I wish deer well. And hopefully we reinvest the money just like we did with fee we received for the gambler
That’s if we reinvest well

You know what happened after we sold ibra and Silva right?

Not the lmeaooo and themeaoo are at that level
But we need to replace adequately. Not buy expensive fodders

That’s where I don’t trust our management one bit.

Difference is Etikite has just had a 22 goal and 12 assist season. He's an attacker who earns points. Not to mention he's only 22 and hasn't even hit his peak yet. 3 of the top 6 EPL teams want him.

You can't compare him to Sandro.
Wasnt he linked to us two years ago? :fp:

Milan absolutely sells player generally low, I can’t believe that’s even being debated. There are far smaller clubs than Milan that ask for crazy high prices and refuse to budge on them. And I’m not talking English or Portuguese clubs either, look at Frankfurt demanding a crazy fee for Ekitike. The whole “player has an agreement with club X” is so overblown too, most players don’t want to sit on a bench for a year and if there’s any time on their deal, you can definitely hold that over them.

I think it has to do with we are bad at selling our deadweight players, so they sell anyone they can for a big sum to have at least some cash flow. Also Milan hasn’t usually been a club like Juve that’s ruthless with players, if an opportunity comes we generally try to let them take it. You can argue individual transfers all day but in a general sense it’s very obviously true Milan doesn’t really hold out for absolute max selling value.
How come Tona is a low offer when during the same season there were players like Tijjan who was obviously better & much cheaper?!
Are people still discussing the Tona deal after Tij & gambling ban?

They are rumored to be even asking for 40M. Jashari joined them only a year ago and has a long contract. Guerras contract runs out in 2026.

I think we prefer Jashari but we won't pay >35M for a player who Brugge bought for 6M just a year ago. And Stephanie is known to be tough to negotiate with. Guerra is easier to get. Way easier.
At this point, buying from La Liga also offers significantly more guarantees compared to the Belgian league

didn’t realize his contract is up in a year. Good opportunity if true

Reijnders think was solid by Furlani. The “hold firm on valuations” approach seems to be Tare’s approach. It’s a shift in strategy and let’s see what he can do this summer.

The previous management was horrible at selling players not needed, pretty much everyone left on some kind of loan formula.

How Tare handles Theo/Maignan/Fodders sales this summer will be telling

The problem is,

Serie A hasn’t been very kind with Spanish players or Laliga graduates in general.

So we knew that Tonali was a gambling addict, hence the sale? So it makes the fact we put what? Around 18% of the proceeds in the form of bonuses, that we knew we were going to miss out on because of this knowledge of his gambling?

That makes how we structured the deal, the price, and the speed a smart piece-of-business?
I'd love to know more details about the bonuses in the Tonali deal. Any source on that? If they're based on appearances in his first year there then yeah it would have been a bad deal. But if it was more of a collection of bonuses, some personal, some team based, then what's the harm?

Tonali wasn't worth 70m, especially knowing that a gambling ban was looming.

We could argue that we should have kept him regardless of the ban and the fee, and maybe in hindsight that probably should have been considered, but saying that we didn't get a good deal for him is a bit of a stretch.

everywhere and nowhere.
really upset we missed out on the CWC.
financials aside, there isn't one single positive that will come from this tourney, aside from some injuries and extra fatigue.
and i'm not entirely sure the financials would've been worth the prolongation of our negative season.

one and done tourney.
