it's a football forum and 8/10 active posters on there are more fans of shit flinging than of having actual conversations, and the vitriol there sometime makes its way to other places and derails actual football convos w random BS. the internet is full of places where people argue for the fun of it and we talked in the mod subforum and choose to not make this forum one of those places

the vast majority of the RNB users want nothing to do w all that, this is a neat corner of the internet where they can hang out and talk about milan and silly bs. i'd rather "ruin" the fun of those 20 people in WNT for the sake of the 100 that hate seeing it leak into the commode and the rest of the forum. Like I said there arent many milan communities where people can just hang out while the internet is like 80% battlegrounds for politics and shit-flinging; if those people wanna leave or get their fix they have where to go

i've been on here for over a decade and i dont think anybody has the slightest clue what my political alignments are and irl im a member of an actual party. it's normal to compartmentalize and not "shit where you eat"

i wouldnt mind it if the people discussing it were ok with just accepting both sides are wrong sometimes, and discussing stuff with a clear objective mind , but it seems that most people go into these discussions prone to getting emotional because they're convinced they're 100% right 100% of the time and see everybody who disagrees as an enemy to be toppled and mocked, it's almost never something constructive so I dont see any positive reason to give it a home here
