I'm not the biggest fan of 2025 vlahovic but regarding his wages: no club itw is rushing to pay him the same he's making rn. Realistically he's a 4m/yr player maybe w some bonuses 5.5m tops-tops. throw him a sign on bonus so he doesn't miss out on the juve contract money and that's it

I don't think "oh man he won't take under 10m" cause literally nobody on this earth except maybe aramco would give him that
If that was the situation Juventus would do it .

People need to realise this guy is yet to play for Milan at full fitness. Feyenoord managed to injure him the game before Milan bought him, and he was never given time to recover properly once he joined.
I think it's also important to realize it's most probably only RnB who shits on him 😅

So we legit like Vlahovic.

Estevao again on Vlahovic:

"Most of the arguments that have been made about Vlahovic and the cost of his card have been about whether he finishes more than his xGs and whether he could keep this in the new team as well, and very little has been said about the fact. that this guy is top-notch in two things: cutting deep behind the defense and coming across to pick up the team. And all this by having one of the best physicists in the world for a center forward. All of these things are much more important than xG, especially if you are a dominant team that dictates their game, because in dominant teams there will certainly be other scoring sources and your striker generally does a lot of things besides the last touch to score."

Theo with the potential he has/d, is one of the biggest disappointements in modern football.

I'm amazed whenever anyone cheers or encourages us to sell Theo or Leao.
We've seen how good they can be. They're not veterans. They're in their peak years. It just takes a good manager to get it out of them...Give up any hope that we replace either with a player that can get to their peak form.

These same people, want to keep Maignan. A goalkeeper that has been far weaker for far longer and can certainly be replaced with a cheaper alternative who is better.

Call me crazy, but he does go down as a legend. Purely on goals scored. Is he our highest goal scoring defender? For me, better than Serginho and only 2nd to Maldini as best LB.
You just answered your own question. If Maignan is weak for some time, then what is THeo?
I was his fan, liked him more than Leao in our best season.. but he just checked off for some time already and i dont see it going back.
Maignan in first 11 is at least decent... few blunders here and there while having few great saves to balance it out (its not enough for Milan btw)
But Theo... he has few "blunders" every match, wingers just toy with him in defense, he costs us goal every 1-2 matches while bringing nothing in attack to balance it out.
He is not even moving forward as he used to, he is just lost case.
And all this without even mentioning his CL fuckups, it is just over for him here.
I believe he can still be decent for some team but in a system where he doesnt need to defend as much as he is just very bad at it, always was but at least he had phisicality to make up for

I'm not at a place where I'd complain about signing Vlahovic. Clear upgrade on Abraham/Jovic, and Vlahovic is still young and talented enough to have undiscovered upside. I still believe in Gimenez too, could create healthy competition. Do we even need another striker with only Serie A to worry about?

I like our rebuilding of the midfield.

Interested to see how we approach defense. If Theo now leaves I think we will see quite the revolution in defense. We need new blood in all positions.

You guys need to watch his all goals highlight, and then watch Retegui's all goals highlight. The way both of them scoring goals effortlessly and almost out of nothing is very similar. You can expect what he could do on full fitness and a in a working team

Vlahovic? I guess the gay gypsy at the management wants a similar one in the dressing room for representation

No one wants to answer this simple question.
If we sell Maignan for 30mil. Even 20-25mil, and account for his salary too. - Can we find a better replacement? If you say no - then what about Milinkovic Savic or Meret (free)?
Factor in how long it has been since Maignan has had a consistent season. I don't want a goalkeeper who can make a few insane saves, but then concede goals no professional GK should. The last time he was decent was the Scudetto season.

Now, with 30 mil - tell me who you want to sign to replace Theo? Perhaps he'll outperform the Theo of last season. But is there even a 1% chance this name will get to Theo's best form?
And are you completely ruling out any chance that Theo, a 27 yo, has even a 1% chance of rediscovering that form.

You think we have a better chance of finding a top LB with 30mil than we do of just getting Theo back to form? Fair enough.

I don't mind Vlahovic for 25-30 mil. We have seen that he can be a very good striker, and he is still young at 25. We can always sell him in 2-3 seasons for a profit as long as he puts in decent numbers.

I think with the right coach, he can be dangerous. Salary is not my problem, it is RedBird's and they should offer him around Leao's and it could work.

For them it makes a lot of sense. Last year of contract, high wage, theyre style has changed away from needing him. For Allegri, he wants a classic 9, and theyve worked together before.

The same way Chelsea wanted Lukaku out, but also Conte wanted him at Napoli.

Not saying theyll have the same impact, but as far as understanding the deal goes it lines up.
But for our management it doesn't.

Since when has this current management went ahead with a player on his last year, on high wages, just to satisfy a coach?

Allegri has Gimenez for a 9, it's not like he doesn't have alternatives to a vlahovic profile.

The 'allegri wants him, juve doesnt' narrative might work for Italian journos but it doesn't for Redbird philosophy. Unless vlahovic reduced his wages significantly or a very favorable deal swings in the managements way.

Not a bad choice.
Can also play midfield.
He is decent, not sure about his injury history haven't checked yet. I'm not sure if he's good enough for Milan

Also personally I can't stand the guy due to his crying antics

Very few people in the world are betting that Theo will regain his form of three seasons ago.
The only two clubs that are/were seriously in for him are not prestigious ones.
If he remains and continues poorly then what?

You keep talking about a top LB in the world when any competent one will outperform the current version of Theo. Your strategy for him is based on pure hopium and doesn't take into account any of the negative ramifications of him staying as a starter in this group.

I think many people here will be suprised to see how much the defensive phase will improve if we get a few proper midfielders and a coach who can create a balanced unit. It will not be champagne football, but we'll start looking as a team again.

Btw sorry about Theo, still think it is worth a shot to try him with Allegri, but from a rational side, counting lack of motivation, responsability and running contract, it is better to sell now.
