I think Tare did indicate that we will be signing a second striker to compete with Gimenez (and co-exist if possible).. he did say price is irrelevant, but characteristics are what matter the most. I think it makes sense we sign a player who could be a starter ahead of Giroud and it's not crazy to expect to sign him between 20-40m..

also, I really think we need a third striker to replace Jovic. two aren't enough for a full season. when one gets injured or suspended or is out of form, we will need an alternative. i think if we can get Immobile for less than 8m we should consider it.

Actually, his hold up is good from what I see. He has incredible feet for a giant. A poor mans Ibra.
I knew of him and wanted us to get him when he was in Serie B. I thought he'd become even better than he has. Still room to improve though as he's young for a striker.
I heard some transfer experts saying 40mil+ would be needed for Lucca and that Napoli were most keen, so that's why I felt we wouldn't get him.
But I can't think of a striker like Giroud that seems realistic.

You know him better than me then, so hope we get him.
