La Gazzetta dello Sport reports the words of the Bruges CEO from Belgium: "We believe that Jashari's career at Bruges is not yet over. We assume he will stay. I understand that he is disappointed"

Is this the response we waited?

They've just taken a massive dump on management, let's see how they respond

I really, really hate Brugges and everything about that club. I say give them the middle finger and never deal with that club again. We've given an offer that is 6x the amount they've paid for him one year ago, the player wants to leave but they want to jail him and extortionate us. Our bid price is already way too high for a Swiss player in the Belgian league, he would be one of our top 3 highest purchases ever, and he would be the highest sale in the Belgian league ever, we have done more than enough.

The wise thing to do right now is withdraw our bid and walk away. I hope Jashari pulls a Theo there but I doubt it, not many players are as unprofessional as Theo.

Let him go.

It’s always hell negotiating with Brugge, especially when we can’t overpay for their players. Why wasting all the time?

And fuck Brugge, using our offer to bait for higher bid.

Club Brugge sporting director Devy Rigaux and CEO Bob Madou on Ardon Jashari deal with AC Milan to @nieuwsbladsport:

“The talks with AC Milan are at a standstill. They know our point of view.

We saw them, out of politeness. Three hours in fact, and it hasn't been about money for a second (just kidding).

We believe that Ardon's cycle has not yet been completed at Club. Today there is nothing on the table that can be an exception in our opinion.

With all due respect to what is undeniably one of our best players, but you can't just walk out the door here.

We are convinced that Ardon will make a top transfer, but only at a time when it is right for everyone and today that is not the case for us. We assume that he will stay.

We understand that he is disappointed, of course.

We don't make final statements that he will stay with certainty until the mercato closes. What if tomorrow a club puts double on the table? But: next season there will be all the more interest.

A contract improvement can be done now. We already did that in the winter and then it was arranged in one afternoon. We really try to be correct.”

The Gazzetta dello Sport website reports more words from Bruges' CEO from Belgium: “Sitting down to talk with #Milan out of courtesy... Everyone knows what Jashari has done, for us it’s not about the end of a cycle. I’m not saying we won’t make exceptions, but right now there’s no offer that makes me think we’ll have to do it.”

So how much money we got from Tiji and Theo (+ other fodder sells)?
Surely an owner of a club like Milan would also chip at least 40-50m additionally.
We must be loaded this summer 🤑 Big names incoming soonTM.
There is no way we make fool of ourselves once again under RedBird, right?

We’ll probably find out that our offer for Jashari wasn’t even close to what the media portrayed, since it was a fantastic offer considering the situation, there’s no way Brugge wouldn’t have accepted it.

The market for strikers is insane as confirmed by Retegui going for 67 million to Atalanta that are masters at selling. Their run on the pitch might be over with Lookman and Ederson also on the market or at least being sought by other clubs, and Gasp gone. They also sold Ruggeri, someone that could have been useful for us at LB.

Our priority now has to be defense in addition to one more mid that looks like might not be Jashari if rumors are true. At this point either give them the 40 or move on from him.

We have spent less than 25 getting Modric and Ricci and that's not bad at all, our budget depends on sales if Gerry doesn't contribute out of pocket and with the two we already got we're left with Fofana and RLC, so I would add someone more offensive minded, like Caviglia that Allegri launched at Juve.

He hasn't been talked about lately so maybe we're not interested but we have to be smart on how we divide money to spend so that we build a balanced squad with no clear weaknesses.

I'm not enthusiastic at all with the fullbacks we're linked with, on paper they look like midtable type players, and I would prefer Jimenez over them while making a splash on the other side of the pitch, spending real money on a Tavares type LB.

Our CBs don't entirely suck as each is good at something, but no one is complete, so I would go for a young prospect and a proven veteran to lead the group. I think having balance is the key to a winning season.
