Couldn't watch the last 3 games before yesterday (Lazio, Sas and Empoli) because I was abroad. Results seem great but I am reading a lot of negative comments... Especially the 1 shot on target against Lazio seems unacceptable. Was it that bad?

Yesterday I did not like the performance at all. We were too defensive against the worst team in the league. 1st goal came out of nowhere and not because of some great pressure. The 2nd goal was due to our good performance in the 2nd half, but still we missed way too much... We rely way too much on Piatek being clinical. Kessie needs to work a lot of his shots. Literally, every game he has a 100% clear chance and misses 4 out of 5.

We're usually pretty poor in the first half and step up in the second. Performances have left a lot to be desired but we're grinding out wins so we're definitely on the right track.

Took a look at the remaining games of the season.

We are currently at 51 points, in 3rd place, with 10 games to go. 30 possible points. Last season Inter made 4th with 72 points, which we are currently 21 points shy off. Hard competition among the "middle field" as they say in Formula One, may result in the 4th position not going as high as 72 points this season.

Our remaining games, what I think we'll achieve after each game:

Sampdoria (A) 1pts
Udinese (H) 3pts
Juventus (A) 0pts
Lazio (H) 3pts (I'm going to be there, and I have a perfect attendance record with Ws against Fiorentina(2006) and Inter(2008).

Bologna (H) 3pts
Fiorentina (A) 1pts
Frosinone (H) 3pts
SPAL (A) 3pts

What I think we'll be able to achieve in the remaining games: 24pts out of a possible 30, bringing our season tally up to 75pts.

This is optimistic I know, but we are showing signs of a really good team now. Several players will in my estimation soon return to form, including Suso and Calhanoglu. Piatek is on fire, Biglia is rejoining our already great midfield and Kessie will soon get the goals he should be scoring.

I am really hopeful we can achieve this tally, but even if we notch up only 19 points out of these games I think top 4 is within our reach.

So fucking excited for this season and this team. Let's do this and have a thrilling summer mercato!
