Could ask Real Madrid for Odriozola for RB. One of Jovic/M. Diaz for CF. Paolo might as well continue that great relationship with Florentino haha.

He was certain he was going to milan, then rangnick fell through.. from almost becoming a milan player to suddenly having to rethink his future for 19 yr kid from hungary and in a short window, he thought it was better to wait one more yr and play another CL season with Salzburg.

Pioli's system is loopsided. It's not fair to compare Samu and Rebic only by the final product.

Samu has a lot more defensive work to do, he plays deeper and tracks back more. Rebic works a lot but he is basically a second striker

Not saying you can't upgrade Samu but you need to make choices. The switch from 433 to a 4231 takes out a player from the midfield and you've to balance it out somewhere with extra from the wingers or the AM... It's not a 424.

It should be a straight forward tie for Milan - but watch out for Jack Byrne he has skills his ego as a teen stopped a career at man city he was highly rated at the time and he is still very young at 24 - just don't underestimate any opposition never assume anything.

I'm not a fan of the dry loan for Brahim. He is not an obvious fit for this team, he doesn't have many minutes of first team football and he will have to adapt his style to Serie A... Too much work and too much questions for a player who will leave for free at the end of the season.

If it was just about the extra depth could have just kept Bonaventura who was useful last season and we know can do a decent job.

Now the dude is very talented so let's hope he can prove to be very useful for Milan this season. Or who knows, maybe at the end of the season we are in a good position to buy him if he does well or something.

I still prefer Brahim to Jack. Even if it's a dry loan this season, there is still some possibility that Brahim could be part of the club's future. Jack for one year definitely wouldn't be. We'll see, but I'm expecting a better output from Brahim and we'll be paying him less - although there may be a loan fee.

That's true, but for a grand total of 554 minutes across those 3 competitions over 3 seasons.

Last season he played 76 minutes between La Liga and CL for Madrid, over 7 appearances, 29 minutes of which came in the last game of the season.

He played another 130 minutes in the Copa where he got his only start.

That was about half the minutes he played the previous season for Madrid, I think he could conclude they have very little faith in his talent.

Anyway, there must be a lot he wants to prove while playing for us and then we'll see where his future lies.
