i really don't get this hunt for an average CB, we already have a bunch of those... Romagnoli and Kjaer will start, Musacchio and Gabbia will be back ups and Duarte will have antibodies. I really don't get it.

Unless we're getting rid of two of the names above this doesn't make any sense to spend money on an average CB who will not be a starter. CB depth problem is short term. RW problem is not!

I know he looks like 33 year old meathead but he's basically at the beginning of his career.

He has a lot of good qualities for an 18 year old CF.

It was a tough match. Maybe we should just acknowledge that Bodo might just be a good team from a sh!t league. Plus we're missing a few key players at the moment. No need to panic.
One thing though, Tonali is SUPER raw. I was expecting him to be a little more reliable and ready with that price tag.

I've questioned Tonalis price tag all summer long, especially when he was rumored to be Inter's for sth around 35-40M. Always said that's a lot for a gamble and I personally wouldn't go beyond 20-25M.

But now I feel like I need to remind people here that Tonali didn't have any preparation whatsoever, has just joined a new team and needs time to settle and learn how to fit in Piolis system. The best thing we can do is forgetting the price tag and not expecting too much. The last thing that will help the boy is an overdemanding place that puts too much pressure on him. Remember how people were shitting about Bennacer when he first arrived and fucked up one or two games in the beginning?

He'll grow. You'll see.

I had not watched Tonali play until he signed for us.

He looks poor defensivelly, lost tactically and slow reactions.

Obviously he will need time to adjust to Milan but we paid a good amount of money for him so there will be some pressure on him to perform.

I think the kid will be fine eventually but rough start so far. Nowhere close Kessie/Bennacer level.
