Well, two of the three behind Zlatan I have not yet seen in this formation this season so I don't know if it's just fun on paper or if it could actually work .

In our system we need backtracking wingers. I don't know if Leao is one. I like him more near the goal. And when he drifts wide it gives additional space for one of our wingers to attack the center. Rebic for example. Yeah, I think I see Leao more as a vice Ibra than a vice Rebic or Casti, especially with Saele in this form.

His combination with their LB and the constant overlaps were their only weapon that game and they kept on hitting us with it over and over again. His passing range during the game was incredible and with both feet and his close control is amazing; he has that unique quality of taking very short touches while moving very fast, which allows him to change direction quickly. Someone mentioned Hazard and that seems like a good comparison to me also, in the way they just roll off challenges effortlessly. I don't want to get too excited but he does seem very special.

We should consider selling Samu.
We shouldnt get Jovic & instead focus on Leao & Colombo.
If Hauge worked ,unlike Leao & Rebic that are wide forwards, we will have a wide pacy playmaker which will make us less Ibra dependent.

If Commisso doesn't budge on Chiesa and Milenkovic then Maldini will probably just be patient and wait until next year. We can survive with Saelemaekers/Castillejo this year and get a good CB on loan and try again next year when their valuation will probably be half what they are now. Chiesa is perfect for the RW role so I can see Maldini waiting for the last possible moment and see if Commisso folds. If not, we'll be ok.

Getting Chiesa probably necessitates a Castillejo sale, though, so it might be prudent to figure out of there's anyone willing to buy him late in the window.

This wouldn't surprise me. His pressing is phenomenal and keeps winning balls cleanly very high up. He needs to work on his finishing and a few other things, but the potential is there for sure.

His biggest weakness is he feels comfortable on the right but is right footed so it's hard for him to cut into his non preferred foot. His crossing off his right is awesome. If he can work on the cut in off the left he will be unstoppable because his workrate gets him into dangerous positions.

When the winger has to cut inside that wastes so much time. It's great to break free and find space for a cross, but we're not really playing that way anymore where we dominate possession and try to find that angle for the cross. It's much more direct now and time is very very valuable. Having Saelemaekers just run and cross quickly is a lot better than say Castillejo having to cut inside first and then cross.

Leao is actually perfect to be the main striker. He is tall. He just needs to be more determined and hungry.

Let's not lose hope on leao. If he gets stronger (not bigger) and has more belief in his body (and self) he will be the prototypical CF. Tall fast and tricky not to mention.he has a cool no fuss shot on him which he gets on target more often than not.

It's not about losing hope or thinking that he can't be good CF, it's about that Ibra wants to play all 90 minutes and in most cases, Pioli is not brave enough to sub him. In these circumstances, he won't play much.


I think he's really good as LW, probably even better than as striker. And I think that in overall he's more talented than norwegian dude.
