With our roster and many injuries, I don't think that we're able to play successfully in all tournaments... and if I need to choose, Coppa and Serie A should be priority.

As Pioli and the players have said, every game is a final (except Prague when already qualified ofc) so each competition will be treated that way. January reinforcements will dictate whether that ends up being a good idea or could cost us in the league depending on if anyone is brought in, or who is.

I dont think Thauvin would/will have as much impact as people expect him to. Yes, he's a decent player but he's not as explosive and fast as Leao, Theo etc

Here's the thing, he doesn't have to be.

Our team is very unbalanced right now. Theo is an elite attacking LB, and Rebic/Leao/Hauge are all very strong, which makes us far more predictable than is ideal. Thauvin would be a pretty significant upgrade at RW, which would make our attack much more difficult to predict.

We don't need that much pace any more. We have enough fast players. Also Calabria is pretty fast and actually decent in attack, so he should click well with a skillful and intelligent player.

What we need though is a RW who can score 6-7 goals and give 3-4 assists in half a season. None of Alexis or Samu can do it. Also having Zlatan as target man for Thauvin's crosses sounds like a match made in heaven.

I haven't watched him for years, but when I did he looked pretty good. It would be low risk high reward deal. 2-3 m to Marseille and 3 m for wages. Sounds like a dream deal. Even if he flops, we would still be able to sell him for 10-15 m.

There is actually 0 pace on the right side. Unless we try Kalulu.
