Maldini was right--this team is better than last year despite losing two key players. I mean it's generous to call Calhanoglu key to this Milan team. He was often a trainwreck. Diaz has more skill, intelligence, pluckiness, and consistency.

Won't comment too much as I only saw the last half hour.
Kessie still looked a bit lethargic however Bennacer looks much closer to where we expect him to be.
Unlucky for Tonali and MM but I think Theo could've done a little more on their goal.

We made it a bit too hard but the will to win is evident again and the result this way is probably better for team spirit. Brahim quickly becoming talismanic like Ante who I saw wasn't his best today.

This group is really special so I hope we get a CL result next to only build their confidence even more.

Before Diaz scored I was already ranting about the mentality of this team costing us 2 points. Not the lack of quality, the mentality. I feel like many of the younger players can be a bit too casual at times, and it almost cost us.

Theo , Kess , Sale , Rebic & OG all played bad.
Thank god Leao , Ben & Diaz saved the game.

Sale need to stop starting , he just aint good enough yet.
As someone coming of the bench & until he up his game he is useful.

He can actually be a surprise AM.

There is no better time with his contract situation , him playing like crap & with Tona & Ben stepping.

Yes - in his first season his shooting seemed better and he had some really near misses. Since then it has seemed to worsen.
All the rest of his game is blossoming this season though.

Oh and Brahim is surely hitting double figures this season

Rightly so, Samu is a confirmed headless chicken and useless player, Messias is still unknown for now. We tried selling him this last transfer and since he refused, he may as well rot in the bench for the whole year.

Everyone was kinda struggling before Lord Daniel's goal (peace be upon him).

When Spezia scored....the pre-Poli Milan would have folded and tried to defend the point. These bitches got mad and responded like real champions.

Oh btw. It would take more than a single goal to convince me about you-know-who....but a promise is a promise

Pellegri really didn't get service. He hustled and hassled their defenders though, and I loved that.

Leao hit the post, with a shot that would've normally bounced in, but it bounced out. He's improving with each game.

Bennacer really is coming back into his normal self. Controls the game with passing and his physical imprint is there, too.

Defense played really well. The goal was an insane deflection, I'm not going to get mad at that. The best chance for Spezia was actually Kessie losing his man, and letting a cross go past him.

Theo did well defensively, their RW Antiste gave Juve nightmares.

The team played sloppy, overall though. We need to clean it up for Atletico. I also would rather Rebic start as ST against Atletico.

I think I have a pretty good eye for talent. I haven't seen anything from Daniel, other than a bit of composure in dribbling, to suggest that he will make it at a big club.

Kalulu is going to make Calabria fight for his spot

Daniel obviously has talent but he looked very nervous to me until the goal, like he very badly wanted to show everyone what he's capable and lead to some sloppy moments. Its expected in his first start. Seeing Paolo's reaction to his goal was beautiful

I like what I see from Pellegri, he's fighting for balls, making himself available whenever we are attacking. To me it looks more like the team choose not to service him as much as for example Zlatan whenever he plays. He'll probably become better as time goes

Leao is also better suited for weaker opposition - more opportunities for him to shine.

Not a stone tablet but it should be considered.

I hope Rebic is back at his best on Tuesday.

I hope people don’t turn on Kessie so fast, I hope he signs, he’s still a great addition to the team and I think the team will flourish more of him/Benna/Tonali play in midfield like the Seedorf/Pirlo/Gattuso of this generation. I’m open to changing formation really.
