Mr.Milanista Ive got to agree with you on this. Especially if el shaarawy can develop into a great player. This formation offers speed on the wings, creativity, a deadly striker, cover in bommel and a passer in aquilani to bring robinho and el shaarawy into the game.

If only allegri would consider something like this.

Milan will never play with just 1 striker as long as Berlusconi's the owner.

It's also a bad formation because none of the midfielders would help defending/repossessing, except for Van Bommel.

I didn't know that putting three forwards behind a striker make them all three transform into midfielders. Who is now playing too much games? And as if I want to play with four forwards, I didn't make that line-up. I want to play with four midfielders, not just two midfielders and call forwards wingers and a striker an attacking midfielder, lolz, yeah right, that's gonna work, Pato a lone CF, ignoring the three forwards behind (and thus on the pitch also around) him, he sure is...

First, i dont like Pato much, he is not team player imo and wastes too much balls trying to run throu instead of passing to teammate. In my fomation he would rotate with Ibra.
Second, when Mexes will return to full fitness and form, we could use him and from time to time deploy Thiago Silva to dm where he played some nice games last years. That will also give Bommel some rest time.

Which midfielders would get into brazil, uruguay, chile's squad? Let alone european teams like spain, italy, germany... umm england, portugal, dutch and on.

Mascerano is it. And Di Maria IF you consider him a midfielder.

Banega wouldn't. Gago wouldn't. Biglia wouldn't. Cambiasso MIGHT.

I think we desperately need a good LB this January or decide to give another 6 months to Taiwo if Allegri considers he is worthy of this time. Only after this should we consider buying a midfielder or Tevez.

And in summer the big decisions in midfield:
- who leaves from Seedorf, Rino, Ambro, MVB, Flams, Urby (I would only keep 1 or 2 out of them)
- who comes to play starting anchor
- shall we keep playing KPB as fake AMC or deploy him as CM
- who will fill the other slots (Aquilani, Merkel, Nainggolan maybe, some other guys)

But I was wondering what if we bring Tevez and keep Pato then we'll have to accommodate a formation with 3 men upfront. Probably first solutions that come to mind are with Robinho or Tevez as AMC but putting Ibra there might also work.

I hate it.

But I guess this is what we get if all our forwards are amazing, and all our midfielders are average at most. It creates ideas that are doomed to fail.

The best would be to bench the amazing orwards and play with four actual midfielders. I know, it feels wrong to start Nocerino, Boateng, Aquilani and Van Bommel all over for example Pato and Robinho. But well, if Milan only wants to spend for class in attack, and being cheap in midfield...

And lol, next season when we have Robinho, Cassano, Pato, Tevez, and Ibrahimovic. Two should start, two on bench, and one not even on the bench. ...or I guess one will leave then?
