That's the thing... Is a forward REALLY the least of our needs? Maybe... It's arguable. While I do agree it is our area of least need... We need to also realize the following:

a) Pippo is gone this summer
b) Ibra is 31 this summer
c) Pato plays more often with doctors and nurses than w the team
d) Cassano is a time bomb. will be 30. not the picture of health and wellness, and can't be a day in, day out striker.

Balotelli may actually be a necessity to help fill any "void" which will occur this summer.

So, while striker isn't a "weak spot" on the surface, it may be a bigger issue than we let on...

But lets be serious, winter AND summer BETTER be used to beef up the midfield. But a striker is still a necessity in my mind...

And there can only be ONE worthy of the cause.

Very in depth analysis and it is true....Personally we I think we should sell Ibra...While he is great asset to the team...We can get good money for him at 30-31 YO....Bring Balo over and reinforce the mid...

If he plays well this season, they won`t let him go at all. We need him to be an idiot like the last few seasons in order to get him (for cheap).

Hmmm.. I have a feeling he will have a great season, which is bad for us because it means that City most likely wont sell him... Especially with Tevez set to leave.

They spend a lot but they`re not idiots to throw away potentially best striker in the world in a few years if he`s playing well. If he doesn`t start being an idiot again, we don`t have a chance to get him.
