Xavi was also supposed to be a big star but he never was until he was 27.

I certainly hope we don't lose him, as it will be such a pussy move on Milan's side.

His WC potential is a given. The concern here is that he never fulfills it.

I think instead of trying to sell him before he loses his price, we should work on him, and instead of trying to cash on him which BTW I'm sure the money won't be spent on any major signings, we have to try to help him rise to the next level.

It shows a major weakness in this club if we let him go.

Hear me out on this one: He was thrust into a world that wasn't truly his. Somewhere down the line (and not counting his lingering injuries which have kept him from forming any semblance of continuity) Pato lost his hunger. He now feels untouchable, and rightfully so. Why do you think he lashed out at Allegri last week in the papers? Would he have EVER done that had he still been with his ex-wife? The young Brazilian now feels a sense of superiority, knowing that at the end of the day the woman indirectly responsible for paying his checks is also the one he falls asleep with at night. Where has the fire gone? His play this season (apart from the brilliant goal vs. Barcelona) has been lackadaisical.

And soon after, the hoard of traitor L3-0 came knocking on the door as Paris St. Germain made their formal €28 million bid to Milan. I so agree with this, I don't know why, but I'm kinda hoping something will happen with Pato, either break up with Barbara, or just something that kicks him in the butt and start acting like the fucking superstar he is.

if this really happening especially this winter, we really are stupid. we could jeopardize our chances to compete in CL which could resolve us to get no profit at all for the next season. CL = money. we will need many of that to rebuild a competitive squad for the present and the future. if selling pato is a must, i would agree to do it with the right price in summer. don't screw things up while we are leading and still have a big chance of winning all competitions just because there is WC player available with less cheaper price than normal.

while following the whole "tevez only wants milan", the war of getting tevez is now more of an "image war" of milan and merda which G doesn't want to loose. sure, image is important, but if we have to only 2 first team striker for CL, screw that image. we don't need to minimize our chances in CL just because of tevez, we just need to win, like we always does against merda.

Its an unfortunate situation because either A) Pato will be sold now (highley unlikely) and that will leave us with a striker less for the UCL or B) He will be sold in the summer and that will leave us with an unmotivaded Pato.

Totally agree. Even if Ibra/Binho is our best attacking duo, it's a huge gamble for CL to only have those two. There will be injuries, red cards and bad form.

Yeh if it means £45m+ i would say maybe sell him now unless we are sure we will get same offers in the summer. Its not as if we are dead favs for the champs league right now with him here.
