Milan spend 3.5 million on Amelia's wages every year.

He earns a fat wage for a back up keeper. I say let's get as much as we can for him and send him to Middlesbrough

But of course he is on a fat wage courtesy of Galliani so he doesn't have an incentive to move

amelia also said that he as roman and roma supporter dreams of wearing the roma shirt one day

Contrary to what many people here say, he is very good for a backup keeper.
But if we are trying to build a squad with an average wage of 2-4 million, then paying 3.5m for a backup keeper is excessive.

Also, Gabriel did well at the Olympics. Time to give him some Copa Italia minutes?

Lol at people consoling themselves that we will get Mbiwa for free. If he does well in champions league and refuses to sign another contract then we will have to compete with the likes of City, Chelsea and Madrid for his wages.

There is little chance that we get him for free.

It's pathetic that Fiorentina can pay 8 million for Borja Valero, Napoli pay 8 million for Behrami but we can't pay the same for a player se badly need?

And some people are really finding excuses for this?

Not all the players are moneywhores... Yes, Mbiwa could get 1-1.5M more from City, but he knows that he will be 4th or 5th option there, and in Milan (still bigger club, even without money) he could make a great career, or at least play 2-3 good seasons and then be sold to another top club for double or triple wage. I hope that Mbiwa guy is not all about the money...

I agree , and then told it isn't sept it isn't aug 31st , fact is they are dithering and dithering and looking anyone cheap free or on loan .I don't want or expect lavish over spending but damn they are irritating , as we know how all this plays out .

I don't know how it's not clear to everybody that what is going on is indefensible.

Parlemo spent 12 million on a promising kid and I think 7 million on another promising kid.

Napoli spent 13 million on Vargas in winter and now 8 on Behrami.

Fiorentina has already spent more than 20 million euros on transfers

Yet we don't have 8 million to spend?

We received the biggest amount from transfers in all of world football currently.
We are a top 7 revenue generating club in the world.

Yet we don't even have the money that a Napoli, Fiorentina or Parlemo spend to improve their squad?

And people are finding excuses for the pathetic management how?

It doesn't need to be excessive ridiculous spending , but the lack anything thus far is worrying ..and in June it's only June ..July it's only July..oh it's only August
Sure I don't know what will happen , but night follows day leopards don't change their spots .Berlusconi doesn't want to spend and there's jack we can do.He couldn't give a flying fuck what fans think either , and he owns Milan has brought success but it had success way before he , and I think will after , but as long as he is playing the pauper we'll do fuck all ,

It's not so much that you need to 'support the management' but Milan just don't want to spend. They need/want to turn a profit and that is their right to do so. You as a fan want them to sign and spend the way YOU want them to. It's not your call. The only real decision you have is to support the club or not. you can continue being frustrated but what is that going to do? Seriously?

They will turn a profit in the short term , left to sell us Pato and Prince sell those two we still have a huge wage bill , and will lose more than the 8 million or 12 million it will take to improve certain areas of the team. The attitude of its their club the can do what they want , support or stop supporting us a stupid attitude.
As the fans make a club , without fans less revenue and if they still manage players who wants an empty stadium no tours no merchandise , it completely reasonable after losing the old guys and selling the best two we have , to get some sort of replacements ..to think otherwise is a very odd approach .If all they want is money in their pockets sell , if it's made official a debt free AC Milan is up for sale there will be takers.
The mercato isn't over yet. Do you seriously believe we won't sign anyone by September 1st?

Oh we'll sign people , it's just if they'll be improvements or signings like Ganqvist/Andreaolli /Lodi/Matri signings completely for the sake making signings.

I think you're misunderstanding me. It's not that I am ok with the club doing anything that will weaken their chances of winning, I'm just making the statement that the management CAN refuse to spend if they want. Also YOU can't make the decision to sign Dzeko or Tevez or kaka or whoever you want.

More of a fact than my opinion of what you should think or do.

If you can't see that you probably dont have a lot of responsibility in your life e.g. Home mortgage, family, kids.

The experienced French midfielder, Jeremy Toulalan, is about to leave Malaga . Many players could then be acquired at competitive prices. The Milan has a view that the flaw in midfield could groped a bargain low cost, and hiring the former Lyon midfielder. The player might be a good alternative to field at the center of the median.

I see the point you are putting across. But I think it is short sited from them , there are millions and millions of AC Milan fans not all die hard fans .Now the weaker the team gets the more it's chance of maintaining its status as one of the elite clubs vanishes.
It's not like running a household , or the man or wonen choosing what car they want or where the kids can and can't go .It is completely different , sure they can do what want and sell all valuable assets and replace with very cheap or in their eyes even better free alternatives. But it will be detrimental to the overall financial situation of the club , and the long run with the contracts these guys are on and taxes bad financially. There isn't much more to sell at Milan so this can't happen for much longer .The club and owners do have a duty to do the best they can for the club and the fans , they are not.
There isn't money to buy players for 30 or 40 million that's fine , but there is a flat out reluctance to pay anything...I get you're point nothing wrong with it , but mine is fans do matter a hell of a lot more than Berlusconi realises the man is a narcissistic ego manical person who cares about not much except himself and his standing in society..which is quite low in most peoples opinion.

i'm not worried we won't sign players but what i am worried about is the calibre of players we might sign .we are getting close to this transfer deadline and still nothing and doesn't it make sense to have new players brought in with time to prepare with the first team.I hope the Mbiwa deal is not dead cause when i hear names like Granqvist mentioned i actually feel sick and hopefully he pisses off to Lazio and we never hear his name again .

no one expects us to spend 100 mil on players but seriously it's plain to see that our team not only is devoid of class but what i think in some ways mentally affected which happens when big players leave and their is unrest in the squad ie Cassano .for this reason i see Kaka as being a good choice to bring inspiration back into this squad and he still has the ability to contribute but it needs to be him and another young mid like sahin so we still show we are building and not just going for 30 year olds.i think dzeko's comments could be read a few ways and it could be that he see's competition at milan would be less and he may be able to have an impact here .give me Mbiwa ( for the right price),Kaka on a loan ,sahin (loan with option) ,Monzon for Lb and the big spen on Dzeko and we have something.i know how unrealistic this may seem but we have to show some initiative.

You have to love Galliani: Sell 2 players for 60M and then believe you will sign players with great potential for nothing.

not the worst player we could get to be honest and is very good defensively when i have seen him and seems to marshall the mid .i haven't really watched him that much though lately so not sure if there are areas to his game we would be worried about although barca having interest makes it interesting.

i can't believe he's 28 though i would have sworn he was older

MILAN ON MARKET PRESIDENT SANTOS Ganso / SAO PAULO (Brazil) - Ganso can leave Santos. Confirming once again the rift between the club and the Brazilian midfielder has thought of the verdict directly to the president Luis Alvaro de Oliveira Ribeiro: "Ganso has made a request of engagement outside our standard and is therefore free to go - we read of 'Fichajes.' - will start if a team were to pay for his out clause is 24 million for Brazil and 50 for Europe. Otherwise will play badly and if he will go to the bench. has a contract with us and must respect ". Anyone interested, including Milan, come forward now.

Yeah agree,

he covers alot of distance on a pitch has nice distributions and good tackling, and what i notice the most is he is excellent in holding the ball under sustained pressure..

but i think we have montolivio in many aspects similar to him, though toulalan is better defensive whereas monto is more creative.

Yes, Toulalan is good defensively. But who is going to pass the ball?

I am kind of tired of people excusing this pathetic state of things by saying "we can't be City, PSG or Chelsea go support them bla bla bla"

Nobody is asking Milan to go and spend 50 million on a player.

What is baffling is that if small teams like Parlemo can spend 20 million on 2 youngsters that they want, Fiorentina can spend over 20 million on players that they need, there isn't a single reason why we should not be able to buy players that we need.

You have no chance of having a decent team without spending some money to buy players that you need

It depends on formation, if we play our classic diamond formation Kaka can't play as striker, we need a new one or at least Robinho, but Toulalan would fit in. If we play 4-3-3 or any other with wingers we need a more creative CM who can pass good, especially long balls, Toulalan can't do that so good. But, we should take him for small money and get rid of Flamini.

. Really frustrating with our management, but if all this is to reduce our debt and make our club profitable again i am ok with it but surely we can atleast spend a little portion of the lump sum the miserly duo received. No one is asking us to spend big, but now that everyone knows we have money, teams are trying to delve deep into our pockets for cash, i reckon thats the problem galliani is facing. PLayers are always overpriced because the departures of ibra and silva were publicly announced.

we should get thiago neves for our midfield, he is kicking ass for fluminese and should cost less than 10 million. I know most people would have forgotten about him, but he is quality from what i have seen, similar to hernanes in style and even physically. He is surprisingly still 27 lol, i thought he would be way older and for defense we need dede and then get kaka on loan. total cost = 10+ 14 = 24 million for 3 players if kaka comes on loan.
