Allegri

We're being OUTRUNED badly by every midfield we play against. It was FUCKING Verona.
Our team doesn't have an idea on how to create chances to score. Changing El Shaarawy + Niang and putting Petanga and Emanuelson while ur losing

Balotelli  diving on every chance he gets it's really fucking annoying. He won't get those fucking calls everytime. and  @people comparing him with Ibra. Ibra terrorize's the defenders and they're scared of him. Balotelli GETS terrorized by defenders.

I don't give a damn if we didn't played well, never in my life will I see another no call Pen like that. Ref had an absolute agenda on Balo by being incredibly strict, but ref got blinded by that when that pen came rolling in.

 you DO know that Toni got floored from behind without an attempt at the ball a couple mins earlier right? :head:

And whos going to provide the ball to said CF?

Unless we get a world class or really good CF, it wont really matter. Guys like Matri would be absolutely worthless

This result is a combination of a poorly constructed team and a manager who still doesnt have a clue how to motivate his players and makes the same bs mistakes he has been doing for three seasons now

ok i'm not gonna deny.... we can always uypgrade creativity, especially to make a real assault on ucl

but a player w/ good physicality and movement can score regardless. Pazzo did for ex. Toni does.

we got enough balls into area.

Brilliant game, just what I expected. A win? Are you serious? Start of the season PLUS a newly promoted Serie A team? pffft Allegri got it

Splendid game by Allegri btw
Kept his record of losing to newly promoted Serie A teams.
Is this 3rd or 4th year in a row? Casena, Sampdoria and now Verona?
Loved his tactics today, showed what hes capable off. No movement whatsoever in the midfield, 30m gap between the strikers and 3 cms, Balo and other strikers just waiting in the box! Nobody expected it, but shame it didn't work!
My favorite part was when he brought on Urby and Petagna, Petagna played as the 2nd CF, and Urby? Urby was told to go out wide and play as a RWB/RM! Brillant! Never seen such a genious move before! So we played 4 at the back, 3 in the mid, 1 right wing back and 2 CF's? Shame Verona didn't fall for it!!

Last season all over again :(
No Idea , no Plan nothing just a disgusting performance from 11 headless players !

Toni unmarked in a corner kick fuckin hell if there were no corners the guy wouldnt even be a player thats his fuckin specialty

What the fuck does Nocerino add to the team , how many more years we need to figure out that Abate is a miserable fulback who cannot pull 3 croses a season , our CB duo really is mediocre but our biggest mediocrity tonight was Attack , we are all calling for a midfield signing as we lack creativity but fuck our attack is worse for the moment !

And Allegri PETANGA a WINGER REALLY REALLY

Balotelli disgusted me with his Drama Queen falls and I fuckin compliment the ref even on pen occasions , fuck you Balotelli man up FFS

fuckin terrible game terrible game

It was a penalty, but Mario was diving all game (in and out of the box) and the ref was rightfully having none of it. So if he makes 5 or 6 dives per game, don't fully blame the ref if he misses the one time he gets fouled.

Yes and I do not think that Allegri would be able to handle Balo. Such a talented player but so lost with himself sometimes, what a waste.

why u even think that in the first place?

looking at our squad as it is (w/o honda and ljajic) we may reached 4th or 5th

c'mon ...it's not totally allegri's fault but what he has to work with is above what verona have FFS.

This team lacks too much to ignore quality wise but allegri has to take some blame for the set up especially with nocerino.for me poli gets a 6 ,abbiati a 5 and no one else over 4.

this team lacks creativity and imagination as does the coach

Edit.

Agreed!

Don't be preposterous. If the rules are going to be obeyed(diving is illegal) then reputation and past events can have no impact on the giving of a penalty.

You can't have two barometers(rules and referee) and have one being objective and one not. The referee should have given us a penalty. Fact. Regardless of what Balotelli did, even if he slept with his sister or was arrested for child pornography before the game.

Once again a post praising the brilliant playboy model coach wearing suits and looking classy all the time.
Loved it how there was a 30m gap between mid and attack and the front 3 were told to stay in front of their defense.
Great tactics, wonder if they could get us a CL this season?
#taskforce

Also, Allegri motivitaded the team brilliantly.. so much pressing, running and anger! He surpassed all the expectations tbh

Well, not really. We were almost playing 4-2-4 in the first half, go look up the half-time comments to remember that... then tiredness set in and we went through phases of uselessness and control, neither of which had a 30m gap.

They were motivated until we conceded. Klopp really motivated his team against Bayern too, right? When they lost? And Tito against Bayern... when they lost? And Conte against Milan... when they... lost?

It's fucking preposterous here.

Teams lose games. Arsenal lost to the almost relegated Aston Villa last weekend, yet people here seem to think we should win every game and that every single fault you can level at a manager is true in this case.

This game had few faults from Allegri.

Our fitness plan is to reach physical peak around March, ready for the end of the season. Other teams - like Verona - focus on peaking early but they burn out near the end when it's vital. That's why you see Milan picking up points near the end and so many smaller teams start fresh but get exhausted in the end of season stretch. :)

Yes this is true, but this year we started earlier because of CL-qualification; potentially the most important game of the season, so I would've expected us to start in better shape.

It seemed to me like we were in better shape in Pre-season than we usually were, but maybe not... I even figured that the high amount of injuries were down to more intense training.

I'm not sure if the collectively lazy performance from 25+ was down to fitness or a poor mentality. I just know that if I'd been the coach I'd have kicked their ass at half-time after the last 20 minutes of the first half.

I thought it was closed for bloat like the Zlatan thread. Perhaps it's better to have an Allegri Thread II when one opens up? That was the idea of me opening the second one.

Can't help but feel Honda would've helped one of our problems in this match: Linking the midfield to attack. Only player to properly link up with the attack was Poli, but that was only in a runner sense, not creative sense. Allegri seriously needs to consider a 4-2-3-1 using Honda between the lines.
