I was expecting more attacking from Barcelona. The first half was boring as hell. Second half they picked it up but throughout the second half they kept losing the ball in midfield and didn't start playing well until they subbed out Iniesta for Xavi. The last minutes were good for me. Messi and Neymar had a shit game but at least the squirrel got a goal as his saving grace.

Suarez played a good ass game though. So glad he got the goal when Barcelona were being dominated since Juventus were close to scoring the second.

as usual you are overrating Suarez and underrating Neymar. Suarez had a good game, but he could have killed the game earlier, Neymar was owning the Juve defenders at most times, even had a goal disallowed(correctly). So it was not like he was crap.

And the 2nd and 3rd goals, both where started by Messi, that run for the second goal was great. Also the first goal was created after his awesome long ball. You see the underrating that I was talking that day, when in comparision with Maradona. Maradona had a quiet game in 1986 final, but he made a great pass, people are still wanking. While Messi today still had a similar impact, but he was crap for most people. It is his fault, as the guy does magic things so regularly, that for him it has became rule not exception. For me he is what, Pele was. Maradona had that underdog relief, which Pele and Messi never had.

Underrating Neymar dude he didn't do anything until he scored the goal with his hand. Then he finally got a goal when Juventus had barely anyone in the back. Suarez would have killed the game earlier had it not been for Buffon. Buffon had a great game today as well.

Messi had some good moments but for most of the game wasn't involved in any of the plays. That was Iniesta starting them. Btw Maradona had more than a quiet game in 1986. Dude was marked by Matthaus and several other German players and still performed well as the conductor/metronome of that Argentina side. You put Messi that deep in midfield like Maradona and I can assure you he won't be able to perform at all.

Given the talent Messi has he has gotten complacent these past few years and it's annoying. After that 90 goal season he doesn't play well enough consistently anymore and especially not in the big games. He used to thrive in these big games; now he walks around and gets closed down a lot.
