Milan are considering Villarreal winger Samu Castillejo, in addition to Callejon, and could take advantage of Bacca’s situation with Villarreal in a potential deal. Castillejo has similar characteristics to those of Suso [Sky]

A lot depends on Suso’s future: In case he leaves, Milan would seriously go for Castillejo [Sky]

Should be going for him, even if Suso stays. Good competitor for Suso

So you think Hakan underperforming at the beginning of the season in a brand new league under a clueless manager who constantly tinkered with formations is unrelated? Also, you think not playing half the previous season didn’t affect his form at the beginning when Hakan even said so himself? Talk about delusional :fp: Oh yeah, Hakan improved under Gattuso like virtually every other player because he was a more capable manager and we started playing as team. That’s why he got a 3 year extension and Montella got fired.

Read it again.
He can do better than what he showed there last season, but he looked so out of place there compared to further up that I don't see much room for improvement. Some things can't be blamed on the coach or fitness.

Did I say he played regularly as CM? No. Learn to read. I actually said he’s played everywhere in midfield for them and has done well in each position. That’s why Gattuso said he’d like to try him as regista. He’s been deployed mainly as LW because we don’t have anybody better currently.

I added "regularly" because you were implying that he played there on many occasions.

But yeah, he never started as CM, let alone regularly. You might find a 5/10 min spell as CM when they are chasing goals at the end, at most.
Leverkusen didn't even field 3 man midfields. Hardly any Bundesfodder team ever do. What's so difficult to understand? Unless...you just don't want to admit

But if he’s a dead cert for LW next season, why are we being linked with Depay and why did Mirabelli say we’ll sign a winger?

Who says he's a dead cert for LW next season?

I'd like a switch to 4-2-3-1. Hakan as CAM and backup LW.

This callejon talk... do you guys even watch napoli matches? :fp:

Both him and hamsik were shit last season

He was wasteful. Still he had 10 goals and 10 assists.

Suso in his spot would've killed Napoli's dynamism and counterattacking threat.

Theoretically Kalinic is a cf....but he's terrible at cf stuff
Theoretically Silva is a ss....but he's actually great at cf stuff (see Congo's recommendation that he models his game on Vieri)

Eh what!?

we already signed brazilian wonderkid in nathan bernardes soares :safro:

The fact that we signed Soares and not an actual up and coming brazilian talent showed me that this Li dude does not have the capital required to bring Milan to the next level.

Heres the issue. They banked on reaching the CL, winning lots of games, selling a ton of merchandise in Italy and China and none of that panned out.

For a measly 1m. That's nothing to him and doesn't really rule him out of the equation as a partner. Plenty of Serie A owners have interest in the lower leagues as well. There was that picture a week or so ago on Rosso's Instagram with Han Li. Who knows?

Wasn't the point I was making.. we have a good relationship with Vicenza. Who knows, Rosso might have been buying a faux-feeder club in preparation for the Milan deal.

Former Infront Italy chief Marco Bogarelli: “Milan is an important asset, I believe it’s worth over €1 billion and many are following the club.”

Bogarelli: “Right now I am only concentrated on the Serie A TV rights deal. Some time ago two different persons asked me to give them a hand in the acquisition of Milan: One of them looked elsewhere in England, while the other is always interested.

Bogarelli: “Milan might be in limbo but, among Italian clubs, it has the most renowned brand in the world and, apart from English clubs, it’s among the best 4-5 along with Real Madrid, Barcelona and Bayern Munich.”

Bogarelli: “Milan have a much bigger revenue potential than the actual one and it’s worth over €1 billion.”

Unlikely. There's already suppose to be a B team created for next season.

Lazio looking to do their annual development trick. Grujic from Liverpool for 5m. Wonder how much he will cost in 12 months...

In your opinion only which is based on what expertise? Exactly. Guess what? Bonucci (who was a world XI CB the previous season) and Biglia (one of the top DMs in Serie A) also looked terrible in their respective positions at the beginning of the season. That was down to Montella plus the fact they were joining a brand new team which was struggling. Magically they also managed to improve after Gattuso took charge and the season progressed.

I added "regularly" because you were implying that he played there on many occasions.

No I didn't imply that. You drew that incorrect conclusion all by yourself. I repeat, I said Hakan has played everywhere in midfield for Leverkusen and done well which is why Mirabelli signed him.

A quick scan of transfermarkt over the past couple of seasons shows Hakan has played CM for 90 mins several times and scored whilst doing so. So who's making up things now? As for a 3-man midfield, if Hakan has shown he can play DM, AM, CM & LM without trouble LCM won't be an issue.

Let me take a leaf out of your book "because you were implying that he will play there next season." See annoying isn't it?

I agree on the last point though. Gattuso has said we will learn to play with both a 3 & 4 man midfield next season so I'd like to see Hakan playing AM/LM. However, I'd still prefer to see him given a shot over Bonaventura if we're playing 4-3-3 and don't sign a better starter.

Sporting CP trio Bruno Fernandes, William Carvalho and Gelson Martins are to become free agents after suing to terminate their contracts.

Let's become AC opportunistic.

Looks like Roma officially signed Kluivert. Roma are the busy ones in Serie A at the moment.

Did they say how long Mirabelli and Gattuso are going to Russia for? Because the first few games are pretty shitty. Plus the games don't start until what Thursday? Why did he leave today? Maybe they are going to meet with some agents or players and not to scout. I doubt they left today to go dick around Russia for a week plus who are you going to go scout in the middle of June? You should have your transfer targets ready to go at this point.

Kluivert is a project player that according to everyone that watches that league, was a pile of steaming dog shit the majority of this season

But since someone else signed him, he's a god.

the thing is, in serie a if you provide a dynamic skillful winger with a good consistent team like roma the player has a real good chance to flourish. Look at Under. Now put Under on Torino and no one would be talking about him.

He's strong, good in the air and his hold up play is good....That's the cf stuff
Could he be (a lot) more clinical? Sure.

Again, he's the only striker we have that can actually beat his man.

Not to be rude or anything...but this is how it works almost everywhere.
I think the best top level league for a good winger to shine is the EPL
I think if a guy like SES goes to a reasonably decent team in England, he'll score a lot....and become a higher profile player than he is now.

That is also not true.

Truth is somewhere in the middle. He's talented but it's way too early for him, proven way too little, never won a thing yet and then theres Raiola.

If he wasn't at Ajax, wasn't named Kluivert and didn't have a cool image, no one of you would have even heard of him at this point of his career.

Wouldn't want Kluivert here as we dont need an inexperienced player for the wing but Monchi has a strong 11 and has since brought in Coric, Kluivert, Cristante, Schick, Under for cheap

hes building for the future and has a proven track record as far as finding talent goes

And what after holding the ball? His passing choices are really poor and he very rarely does the right thing with the ball. A CF can't be 'great' without that.
