:LOL::LOL::LOL: That is his level.

Seems like Insigne is going to Toronto FC as well.
To be honest that sounds like a good move if Insigne isnt in line for a WC callup.
If Belotti didnt have the Milan connection along with our current affinity for moneyball moves I'm not sure if this wouldnt be his only option.
I assume this is bs

If it was a more believable price maybe

but no one is buying an Italian club for 1 billion let alone Inter
It was being reported since they bought Newcastle. After Stevan mentioned it I googled and they are reports since October.
Time will tell.

Seems like just last week some were laughing saying it was impossible for Inter to be purchased but when owners want a hobby / vehicle where profits arent the driving factor then 1 billion is just a number we cant fathom and meaningless to them.
If it does happen then hopefully it just spurs us on to succeed and not be an afterthought.

Being without Milan games bothers me too, but this break is probably for the best, so we can recover some players and make a push for the title.

If we do get him, I think it will be because we want to evaluate him over the next 6 months to see if we want to put in the money to sign him outright. If Lille will not allow a similar situation, and we don't think he's worth 30m upfront, then Abdou Diallo makes sense, long-term.

Or perhaps we are buying Omeragic outright (perhaps even loaning him out for the rest of the season) and grab Abdou Diallo on-loan, evaluating him in the process?

I think Pobega is coming back to take a spot next year. I think Kessie is gone. If Man Utd were smart, they'd grab Brozovic and Kessie and solve their midfield problems, but they're not.
Who gives a shit about united?

Doesnt inter have a lot of debt? 1bn sounds right, if if includes the debt - which it would

My theory is that they would go for IPO once they feel the club is at 1bn-2bn value, so not now, but after we win some titles, go deep in CL for a couple of years. Then, it would be the only option, as the value would truly be that high, but there are no real buyers interested to invest that much in a football club. That was my point to WHY they would go for IPO.

Also as far as I know you can put out just a part of the shares, thus retaining control, if you really want to.

Btw, from the definition

Hence, exactly what I said they want to do.

1. Did you get my point?
2. Do you still disagree?

Yes, this is what I was saying. You can list only as much of the company as you wanna "sell". So Elliot could list only 49% of their shares on the market...hence, 49% of Milan. But it's the same concept. The company as a whole first needs to be valued, and then the shares on the market will follow. So by that example, if Milan is valued currently at 700M, the 49% of the shares on the market will be worth 49% of 700M. Imo, it's not a good exit strategy because it's a big big risk. Milan could be worth 700M now, and 600M a year from now. They can also be worth 800M. It's highly dependent on results. It's not a terrible thing to do. I just don't think Elliot will do it. How much is Elliot on the hook for? Isn't it more then 550M at this point? Take in account time value of money as well there. They could of course wipe the slate clean and be done with it....sell at cost...but they are not known for that. They'll fix up everything. They're already doing that. Even the new stadium. They're investing in the infrastructure. It's always ideal to sell to a single buyer (group, consortium, whatever...all the same) if you are looking for an exit strategy. Less risk then listing on the market piece by piece...because you never know what the next piece will be worth.

Anyway, I do agree with you. If they can get to a 1B+ valuation, then they very well may list the club on the market. But until then, it's highly improbable. And we are far away from that. A single buyer may say Milan is worth 1B...but on the market? Looking at the books and "official" numbers? Zero chance!

Everybody thought that Elliott would sell us immediately after getting rid of Li or that they will dismantle the team by selling the assets... and that was the logical thing to do for a vulture fund. But, they have continued investing. This makes me think they see the club's potential to be waaay higher, hence 1bn+ figure. A single buyer, as you mention, is of course the ideal scenario... but who is spending such money on football nowadays? Nobody except Arabs. So this is what makes me think IPO is the only other option.

Of course, there's also the theory that this is daddy Paul's gift to Gordon, who seems to be interested in football :) If the club will increase in value, I guess they can make the argument to their shareholders to why they're keeping it, while Gordon keeps enjoying his toy :)

International Business times is saying the Saudi Arabia Public Investment Fund (PIF) will acquire Inter.

HAHAHA,

If they buy them for 1Billion, you add the 1B debt that they would take up, then Merda would cost them 2Billion.
Highly doubt any company would be that stupid to drop 2B on a pile of shit.

No, I'm saying we will never make that important step ahead as long as we're owned by Elliott. Our finances might improve, but that's about it.
But what is this based on? We’re improving on a sporting level every year, and we’re ahead of schedule. Why do you believe this will suddenly stop and Elliott will be satisfied with aiming only for 4th place each year?

1b if that’s true definitely includes all the debt.

Not sure how I feel about this. My biggest and most immediate worry is how this affects the stadium. Two things worry me, are Inter/Saudi going to want their own independent stadium? Are the local opposition to the stadium going to suddenly get a lot more vocal (and rightfully so) about including Saudi into their neighborhood?

In terms of Serie A, it might be a good thing in the short term but if they work well they could achieve a sort of concentration of power that PSG and Bayern have on their leagues. I’m not sure that’s a certainty, as the Saudis are not as methodical as the entity that owns Man City. It would be a lot more emotionally driven and decisions will come down very abruptly.

So I’m sure they will spend a ton of money but without the right set up it could end up being very messy, like what’s happening at PSG. I’d argue the Qataris are a bit more professional but even their obsession with winning the CL has gotten them to a point where their squad is bloated and a few of the players are being paid to do nothing.

It’s fine in France where there’s not much competition, but in Serie A even with a huge advantage I don’t think Inter can dominate in the same way. If we keep up with our plan and constant growth we can be a lot more efficient and better than whatever bloated monstrosity Inter end up becoming.

Anyway, if they start buying superstars like Haaland that’s great for Serie A overall and as long as we keep doing well ourselves there’s not much to worry about as long as the stadium project doesn’t get interrupted.

Also, a new owner taking over a major club like this doesn’t happen overnight. I’m sure the mayor knew, we knew and all the other major stakeholders knew this was happening or was a major possibility. They still green lit the project. That’s a good sign that they’re ok with it and maybe tried to delay it until the most delicate moment passed (the local acceptance).

1. Its not happening. Inter has like 15M negative cash flow on monthly basis. On top of the 700M or so debt. Even with inflated sponsors they d need at least 2 year to get even without taking in account new star signings. No stadium. Aging squad. In summer they ll have to get rid off "depth" (Vidal, Sanchez etc) to stop bleeding money. Saudis re not that stupid. If they ll throw money around jsut like that why did they go after Newcastle instead of United, Arsenal etc.
2. We shuldnt care. Psg, bayern situation s not happening. There s way more competition in Italy than there.
3. With new sponsors and improved deals, good results, marketing pool we ll in 2 years get close to 400M revenue. And with stadium that ll go through roof. We were mismanaged for years.
4. There s always possibility we ll get sold also when Elliot gets good offer.

There's nothing funny about merda being bought by some crazy rich fund. Hopefully it is #fakenews

We will not win scudetto in the next 10 years. Not with current owners. We will need all the Saelemaekers and Brahim's of this world.

It wouldn’t make sense for them to buy Inter.

our so called free kick specialist is gone but we have more goals from free kicks than ever. Clearly he wasn’t that good at them as he thought.

If we bring in two, I think that means Romagnoli is gone, as well.

There are reports that Juve are going to sell De Ligt to fund a Vlahovic move. If I'm being a dick, it might be a sale they need to make to afford Chiesa's fees that are due in the summer, if they make the CL (which triggers their obligation) though it's unclear if they don't make the CL what happens. If Juve were smart, I think they'd grab Romagnoli for free in the summer, he'd suit Allegri's football, if he was brought in as a starter, otherwise, I can understand him wanting to stay here.

Selling de Ligt and acquiring Romagnoli might look good for them financially, but not quality wise. I think de Ligt was better when he was at Ajax and he probably left them too soon. He could have done with two more years of developing in a trusted environment. However, I do think he's a talented defender and his ceiling is considerably higher than Alessio's. De Ligt is probably one of few players that Juve can sell to fund some acquisitions. In my opinion it would be a banter move though. They have huge gaps to fill and their squad has depreciated in value.

If it turns out to be fake news then yeah, would be funny. If there's a deal in place though, they will dominate the league for many years. They would turn into City, we would turn into Arsenal. No fun at all...

De ligt was better at ajax because of the partnership with de jong. Splitting them up was a crime to football.
