I don't know who this journalist is but hopefully he's right lol

The Bahraini fund was supported by the Saudi Public Investment Fund (PIF), which has investments with them under the leadership of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, so there is no fear for Investcorp’s financial strength, all that was mentioned recently against the fund are just rumors, nothing more, nothing less, the fund is financially strong

I will always remember Tonali's goal in the 92 minute at the Olympico. It was such an important one. The passion, the desire, the grit. It's what will make him a Milan legend.

I was watching highlights from the match against Verona with English commentary and after the first Tonali goal the commentator said: "the genius of Leao and the desire of Tonali". Both have been very important all season, but especially in the last two matches. Great, great stuff!

As an American, soccer doesn't need any of the rule implementations of NFL. They say there's only 12 mins of playtime in a game of football. The rest is all wasted in bs penalties and flags. So fuck challenges. I don't want to waste 10 more mins rewatching some bs foul that still gets called wrong in the end anyway. Sport is ruined when under a microscope

We should look at unilateral extension clauses. Chelsea has been using them to cockblock players like Giroud.
...and get stuck with players like Bakayoko. a bit of a different situation but still...not all renewals are worth something.

Not gonna lie... sometimes after a Milan match I see Bakayoko and FBT on the pitch celebrating and realize they exist. The rest of the time I suppress them from my mind.

Obviously he should be referring to our core players, like Leao, Tonali, Tomori, Mike, Theo, Kalulu, Bennacer.
If all of then get an auto renewal based on appearances for a year (since most of their contracts will end in 2026/27) That will give us that extra year to discuss with them for contract extensions, or to trigger it so that we earn more money from a sale.

I'm all for these sort of things to be built into contracts, but do Italy allow these things?

Just watched a video on Adli, and now I understand why Sam thinks so highly of him.

I am super excited to watch him play for Milan, especially under the guidance of Pioli - who will bring the best out of him, like he has done with other young players at Milan.

Also, I understand that every player looks good in those YouTube videos, however, there is something beautiful about the way Adli plays, and I can't wait to witness him play like that while donning a red and black jersey, with a Scudetto patch on it.

Not for the players - for the club. Giroud wanted to leave and Chelsea had ability to extend one year at their discretion. This could come in handy when dealing with the likes of dollar and kessie who lead the club on and not renew in the end.

Seems like a weird contract for players to sign.

it may have it's merits. personally, i feel it's a false sense of security.

in the end, those who want to renew, will renew, those who want to walk out free, will wait and do so...automatic extension or not. wasn't it the case for Pogba?

With all the cases he came and found, Maldini was in a delicate situation and i think he did the right thing ... for the current players, for those who want to remain, the decision could be made within the time of the running contract.... for those who don't, and want to walk for free. they'll wait for the extra year to walk...worse, if they're dicks, they can sabotage the conditions that trigger the extension.

i see it as if we were to extend transfer window to 4 months, there will still be last minute deals that will fail and be blamed on insufficient time.

The most stupid shit I read in here is when people come up with the good old "we shouldn't have lost Donna and Hakan for free".

I still read it in here, I think a couple of weeks ago. Like what the fuck does it even mean? Does it mean we should've caved to their bloated wage demands, risked a public scandal by forcing them out? Who were willing to make it a sweet deal for us? When should they have been sold, for what and to whom?

I don't get it. They did exactly as they wanted, as many players across Europe have done and continue to do.

They were examples of a trend, and I'm extremely pleased that they're no longer on the roster. We will build this dynasty with players who want to be here, and with new owners we are likely to see at least a little looser wage policy.

This would explain why Origi isn't playing as much.
Yes but it also confirms they made the decision even earlier to move on from him - they were happier with whom they had plus adding Luis Diaz

i find it weird people here wouldnt want dybala but guess thats just me

this guy has so much ability in both of his feet, even watching the highlights of the last juve game you can see hes just on another lvl to his team mates

could type up a long paragraph about how and why i think hes been misused by juve over the years but i dont see the point.... hes a player you need to try and build around and as a free agent on 6.5-7m hes asking for this is a no brainer, investcorp or not. were literally swapping mascots wages for someone who is 13 years younger and actually makes a difference

if we signed him, id play him in a free SS role next to someone mobile who presses like Origi. if we wanted to field dybala and giroud we'd prob have to play a workhorse on the right i.e. someone like renato

people act like hes forever injured or is asking for haaland type wages like why
Cause the banter era have made people on this forum lose their ability to distinguish between a top level player and a mediocre one.

The charitable reading would be that they didn't want to hurt his ability to earn or trouble his negotiations with his next club. I mean, Chelsea really were annoying over Giroud, going against promises they made to him.

Right now it looks like Luis Diaz is replacing Mane, as those rumors of him going to Bayern are growing. I wonder if any of their wingers would be available to us?

Reading that piece (The Mind Room) its obvious that Silvio had thoroughly checked out by then.
He (and Galliani) allowed DeMichellis to follow Carlo to Chelsea and not ever reinstituted the program with others - the walls crumbled while we looked on helplessly

True - but the Giroud fee was nominal - seems paying 10 euro becomes a mountain for us.
Origi is young enough that if they wanted him for the next three years that wouldve been fine.

That said we arent on top with revenue like theirs - he can be very useful for us as he was for them; I just hope we can add another bigger talent as well, this year or the next.
