I think the writing is on the wall. Pioli will get replaced eventually. He reached his ceiling.

Who do you guys think will be a realistic target? There are top coaches available but I don’t see this club coughing up the money or transfer funds.

Using wild's logic: if he hasn't done shit with 50m mercato squads, why the fuck would we give him 200m for mercato. I believe he originally said this about Maldini but it's the same with Pioli.

It's a bit unfair but that's the demand and constraints we as a team need to work with now. If he can't really adapt, we can't really afford to wait and let it get to the point where top 4 is in question.

I feel like it was a nice cycle we had, good for everyone. That's why I would prefer Pioli leaving on positive terms and us not in shambles. I think it's a shame they jumped the gun on giving him his renewal, we are now bound financially in terms of finding replacements.
Understand that but I lean more to the point Leaf was making in the match thread - If players like Rafa, Theo Benny and Tomori etc have no fear of being displaced then it is hard to rest and motivate them to do better. We are here wishing Ibra can automagically whip people into shape when the fact of the matter is a hungry and competent replacement does that without saying a word.

I dont think Pioli can be Carlo but I think he deserves some better players to see if he can continue to keep Milan as no.1 in Serie A and the players are now showing they may also need help to stay at the spot where they are, much less going to the next round up. If its the end of Pioli though then so be it but I would hope that comes with the requisite investment, not another different strategy to do more with less burning out the same players.

If your argument is that a better lesser known coach can devise a way to get more out of the Vranckx and Adli etc to make us competitive with what we got then have at it.

Indeed there are things in life that makes football meaningless, I'm happy that your friend is well and will recover.
very decent of you MB
Hello all and @MilanMB i had to miss the game a good friend was in a serious accident (not of his making another careless stupid driver) so I was in the hospital. He had a lucky escape and while he is hurt badly he is alive and will recover.

I haven’t been reading posts on the game just checked the score. Disappointing but it is not a priority competition do yourselves a favour move on and forget the super coppa . So needless to say @MilanMB I won’t be voting on this one.

Milan have bigger objectives and I am extremely grateful a long time friend is alive and will recover.

Forza Life! 🙏🍀 Forza Milan ⭐⭐
Sending love to you and best wishes for your friend's recovery. Fuck football

Everyone must share the blame for this situation. We are just paying the price of a bad mercato (in fact, the last two years), but also because of Pioli's stubbornness and limitation.
I mean, how many times do you have to play in the same formation and system, to find out that it doesn't work anymore and that you have to change something?

It is so painfully obvious to me that we have to play with three midfielders and that we finally have to stop forcing the 4231 formation because it just doesn't work anymore (nor do we have adequate players for it).

I really, really loathe your intellectual output. Completely devoid of value to anyone/anything except your need to get it out. Without a hissy fit.

100%. I agree.

I think the ambition of getting our second star this year and being competitive in CL in 3 years go out the door way before we think about replacing Pioli.

For someone to be completely okay with the current situation, they'd have to have 100% buy-in when it comes to "daplan". We as fan reserve a tiny bit of hope no matter how realistic we are in hoping that we'd want those things despite reality telling us to our face they are not likely to happen, I get that.

And I posted a reply in the commode regarding replacing Pioli, so I definitely understand the implications and the constraints we'd be dealing with if we do decide to go a different route. The scouting for Pioi was that he started out brilliant but once he was "found out", he stagnated and his team completely lost the plot and he was fired (Lazio, Inter). So if that truly is the case I hope the management can at least damage control and like you said don't burn out the players.

Here's the problem though, for Pioli or whoever his replacement is. Under Elliot (and again, assuming the same for Red Bird), manager never really got what they want. Rino got "gift" signings from Leo. Giampaolo wanted specific set of players. But we got different one's because we believe that was the better move long term. We did it again with CdK. The goal isn't to win now. The goal is always to weather the storm and continue to get CL while making slight improvements until the stadium is built (another thing that is going to affect funds available for mercato). I think a manager not being able to produce top level result is acceptable, but having some drought with seemingly no way to rescue the result isn't.

So for those that were delusional enough to think Milan would catch Napoli, if they don’t win this weekend there’s the possibility they could be 1 point above 8th place.

Some delusional poster will says like :
1. We're still 2nd in serie A (well if we continue to have bad form like this, we probably will be out from top 4)
2. It was Mickey Mouse cup anyways
3. All that matters is financial stability, we cannot spend like man city. Even tho we zero tituli for 10 years, i'll accept it, if that means for financial stability (lol)
4. Adli thiaw vrancx are our savior and next Messi

Mate

You need to have a intellectual bone in your body to loathe anything intellectual.

Why dont you go and collaborate with your apologist buddy and write an essay.

Stop trying to act like a G over here.

Pioli: “We are not living our best moment from a mental point of view. It's a defeat that hurts us a lot and we have to go back to playing as we know how. We struggle to stay as a team. We start again working better”. (mediaset)
