Napoli got players like Simeone and Raspadori for squad depth on loan with option/obligation to buy deals. Our management decided to bet on the likes of Pobega and Gabbia when the imminent injury was to happen.

He could have played like he did against Juve. Just play solid, and be compact and disrupt them. He went all out attack, again.

In hindsight (although a few of us called this last summer), we should've just renewed Romagnoli (he's on 3.5m net at Lazio) and taken Dybala for free and used the 50m spent on CDK, Florenzi + Messias to sign a boss RW.

I am not sure about that. I was just giving examples on how Napoli addressed the issue of squad depth, which is what you would expect from our management after fumbling our way to a scudetto last season.

Look at the players second half, edgy and frustrated. Last time we had a player lash out like that was Mexes, I loved Mexes and his lashing out was also a release of frustration for me as a fan. Today that was Krunic. While I enjoyed it but Berardi’s and Mauri’s reaction back then is just about the reaction of all our opponents. They know they are under our skin and our players are really tilted and low on morale.

The absolute abandonment of discipline is a sign for me that Pioli has got to go. Just a matter of how much we pay for that scudetto last year

The extension was to 2025, not exactly some Allegri albatros contract. I don't think its the extension that is making them hesitate.
