Sorry but I trust Transfermarkt (Wiki says the same thing) who only count Raspadori’s 5m loan fee and NOT the obligation in 22/23 hence the 13m surplus reported for Napoli.

At the end of the day, Maldini spent 50m on CDK, Thiaw, Vrancx + Messias who have failed to make an impact in addition to handing out long term contracts to injury prone Florenzi + Origi and sold NOBODY (Hauge was from last year). Meanwhile, Napoli sold/released Koulibaly, Mertens, Fabian Ruiz + Insigne and signed Kim, Kvara, Anguissa + Olivera and ended up recording a SURPLUS whilst riding high at the top of Serie A. Those are precisely the reasons why Gerry is unwilling to give Paolo any extra money during winter and unlikely to increase the mercato budget this summer. Especially when the likes of Inter, Lazio + Atalanta are also outperforming us whilst recording smaller transfer deficits or breaking even.

I am not going to accept that Gerry is not giving Maldini money because he 'blew it'. Maldini may have blown it on CDK but I just don't foresee that being a logical thing.

Gerry owns the club, we need CL. If he thought Maldini had blown it, he'd find another way to bring in players, not purposefully run his investment into the ground.

2 weeks ago I was pro-Pioli. I put all the blame on the management for the disastrous transfer market. But since then we've lost to teams that we have no business losing to. And not just regular defeats. Humiliating defeats. He's literally breaking records. Bad ones. First time we've conceded 4 goals or more in two consecutive games. Worst of all, there haven't been any positive signs or improvements. We're conceding the same type of goals in every game.

You're being very sentimental. At the very least, I'd let the management analyze our last few defeats and decide what's best. Let them talk to the players and see if they're losing confidence in the coach. All these things matter. I'm leaning towards replacing him. But ultimately Maldini and co. really need to do their due diligence and find out what the majority of the players think. Once the players stop playing for the coach, the coach's time is up. That's it.

Giacomo Raspadori is officially a new Napoli player after completing the transfer from Sassuolo and could make his debut against Monza tomorrow.

The versatile Italy international striker had his medical yesterday in Rome and this evening put pen to paper on the contract.
