Watching Spezia tonight reminded me what we lacked this whole season. A simple spark. The way to go forward would mayhaps be to part ways with Pioli, but it has to be said the mercato this season has been everything but a successful one. Aditionally, some of the players who have been here for a few years are way past it and unfortunately Pioli has blind loyalty to some of them.

By the way, I doubt Pioli will be leaving because he has a contract until 2025 worth €3.5m/yr.

Damn what a shambles! Shared responsibility for this mess imo. Some serious signings must be made. Pioli has to shoulder a lot of the blame but this isn't all his fault. That bench is absolutely terrible. A lot the guys have regressed but it may be time for a coaching change. Hurts to say that as I really do like Pioli but some clearer ideas are needed along with an upgrade in the squad. We may yet get CL but that bench is a real problem.

maybe invest back into the team? at least on something as pivotal as the coach
