I still don’t understand how we had a clean shit till Pierre fucked up
Yeh Kjaer has not been in good form but would have been a better choice for this occasion. Pioli should have subbed off Messias around the 60 minute mark too. Those 2 cost him the game. Not that our attack was any more promising but Padre killed the game.

Literally 2 positives this entire season:

1) Renewing our core
2) Reaching CL SF. As easy as people say our journey was, we beat an EPL team and one of the best teams in Europe this season. Both ties at least half of our fans expected us to lose.

The rest? Oof
I hear you.

We gotta get into the CL. Then it will be a B season for me. Right now it’s a C+.

Nah, if you know your budget constraints going all in for CdK is hella risky.

And the result blew up in our faces. No way Paolo escapes blame for this one

Yeah sure, but you can't have fair comparison if one SD / CEO can make 200 million plus losses in a year while Milan only made 60 mil losses last year and are supposed to be slightly in profit for this year. Biggest problem with Milan this year was no proper striker to alternate with Giroud. Maldini didn't make the best decisions but transfer budget was almost criminal!

Maldini : "Rate for the season with qualification to the Champions League? "It would be 8. We said it last year: we are not yet structured to compete in two competitions, we told our owners, they know it very well... Today there were three years of average difference with Inter. If we were to get to the Champions League it would be a great season". (mediaset

ooooooh this club is finished

Everybody forgets Inter actually had a real shit season until 3-4 weeks ago, when they somehow started winning everything they could in Serie A. They were 5th-6th, there was a true meltdown on the Inter forum and if we didn't play like a Serie C team in the last month, they still would have been behind us.

Also in CL, their games against Porto were horrible, and got really lucky that Porto hit the post 3 times in 10 minutes + missed a sitter in the return leg. It's still a mystery how they won that, because they got owned in every aspect of the game. After that, Benfica was just a weak side, typical team that lost all of their skill and momentum when Enzo was sold, and even then it was a snoozefest with Inter having 40% ball possession (in both games actually).

The fact we made them look like a solid squad says more about us, than about them. The downside is, they still have a chance to win the CL now, the good part is they might get embarrassed in the finals. I see City more capable of doing that. Real hasn't been too impressive so far, with Benzema not in his best form and them heavily relying on Vinicius. I'm rooting for City tomorrow, I want to see Haaland kicking that mole, hidden under weird white weeds these days, off of Acerbi's face.

I would say C+ if we reach CL

Right now C- and we haven’t shown up for class in a month and have a tricky final exam we need to ace.

Those players didnt arrive in one season and not corect sums. Kaku s on 1 year, dzeko 2. Those 20m gross s almost what we ll pay origi over 4 year contract. Who s useless.

But financial scudetto s ours while inter s playing finals (europa league 20, now cl), winning cups every year, making us bitch every match. Lets cheer pioli and MM./s

Your saying as if MM want the financial scudetto?? Very strange!! You think Redshit told Mladini here is 150 mil budget to spend and Maldini said no, I will only spend 35 mil and give you the financial scudetto?

Red Shit have been shit owners so far.

Brothers and sisters,

let's remember not to turn this negativity onto each other
♥️

We all get passionate about this shit but let's remember nobody from the management or ownership actually gives a fuck and read these things so all we have is eachother, so please take care of yourselves first and don't let this shit affect you too much

Best post tonight.

Really appreciate you for saying this brother Curu.

I know how much this results hurts but interacting in this forum over the past season especially with the banter has been great and and a pretty fun ride. I do really enjoy posting in this forum with ya’ll.

I hope we can all take a bit of fresh air, go outside, cool down and keep that banter up rather than turn this forum into a toxic heated shitfest with personal attacks at each other that would make this place unreadable. Let’s not go there.

Ultimately it’s just football. Your health, family and mental health always comes first. Always remember that.

Maldini to Sky on the market and #DeKetelaere: “De Ketelaere is an example of players who need to grow, it's normal. It would have been much easier and much less expensive for us to go on a player like #Dybala at the beginning of the year. But would it have been a right purchase for our project? Would that have been fair and shared by the property? No. We know we have an idea and we have the will to build a young and talented team"
SO THEY COULD ACTUALLY SIGN DYABALA IF THEY WANTED TO???
Yeah paulo its over for you

Paolo comparing CDK with Tonali is herecy.. Tonali wasn't a beast his first season but had many decent matches where he was doing what he was supposed to do.
He was shy with taking command and showing his full potential. Now CDK... argh. I wish I was wrong about him..

What's insane is that Inter, a club certain posters wrote off, a club without a shirt sponsor, a club whose owners owe a ton of money is a club that will not only play CL next year but are going into the CL final this year.
Too bad they won't get that Accounting D'Or :head:

This is inaccurate. Inter clearly have the better attack. It’s not even close. Martinez, Lukaku and Dzeko would all start for us.

They also have a better midfield. It’s delusional to think otherwise.

We have a better GK but their GK is not a scrub either.

You can argue our defense is better but again not by much. And some might even argue we’re not better in defense.

Inter is the better team on paper and on the pitch. They beat us 3 times this year. We couldn’t even get 1 goal in those 3 games. It’s not debatable.

Better team won. We need to focus on ourselves and move forward. Many lessons learned from these two games. Now it’s on the management to fix things.

We did well to reach the SF of the CL. But not qualifying for the CL next year will make this season a failure. The faster the coach can get this team to focus on the remaining 3 games the better.
Inter won purely on tactics.

They do not have a better team than us or even Napoli for instance.
this team is underperforming badly especially in attack.. when fucking relegation teams like cremenose can easily handle our attack, then you know its a broken system. And mind you Inter were losing/drawing serie a matches left and right before their recent form.

The only reason we look that mediocre is solely because of Pioli. Me and Brk, especially me knew Inter would beat us, just Like i knew we could beat Napoli

Earlier this season with the exact same squad we toyed with them for 70minutes.

We played like bitches, not because inter are that superior player for player.

it would be extremely unfair to pioli if the plan for a mutual cl/league run was by management (highly doubt it was pioli's insistence and not the other way around to increase revenues exponentially) and yet he will be thrown under the bus for it

Not sure of the accuracy, but I found this:

What is the homegrown player rule in Serie A?

A homegrown player in the Serie A is defined as a player who trained at an academy of an Italian club between 15-21 years old. There has to be at least 4 ‘club-trained’ players among the 8 homegrown players to be registered.

The Serie A is slightly more strict compared to other leagues. The ‘club-trained’ players have to be born in Italy too!

So basically this confirms it. We need to keep Chaka in the Primavera for another season.

Pioli and Maldini dropped the most embarrassing post-game sports interviews I've ever seen.

This club is actually doomed.

I hated those interviews so much

I mean, just three weeks ago people were laughing at the idea that we’d renew him. The usual culprits. Now that he’s signing, it’s a gimmick? He is important to us. When we all regain our composure in a couple of days, this will be one of the high points of the season.

Exceptional job in keeping our core intact.
Need to add to it now so those players aren't burnt out and get disillusioned.

Onana is a very very good goalkeeper. Might be number 2 in the league after Maignan and even before Lazio’s keeper.

Their attack is better than ours and the stats and our games against them prove it. Look at the pile of shit we have as attackers. Their midfield is much better than ours it’s not even close. You can argue that Theo is better than Di Marco but he has been excellent this season. Dumfries is well ahead of Calabria or Kalulu. Kjaer/Thiaw/Tomori ba their defenders. You be the judge of how much better they are

Our fans need to snap out of the delusion
Exactly. They are just a better side. Infact inter is underperforming.

You could argue this but I don’t think any of Inter players are on the level of Leao/Theo/Maignan.

Martinez/Barella/Bastioni are at that level easily. You’re being biased if you think otherwise.
Attack wise Leao is much better than Martinez. Even if Giroud is worse than Dzeko, the Leao/Giroud combo is clear to me than those 2. We saw it especially when both were firing at the start of the season. Bennacer at CAM was also doing okay.
Out attack is just Leao. They have Dzeko, Martinez and Lukaku who can make a difference. It’s not close. Their attack is better.
I really think the main difference in the derby was Inzaghi outcoaching Pioli with ease, much superior tactics.
I believe Pioli was naive in the first leg and underestimated Inter (I don’t know why. They already beat us twice in a row). He should have approach that game the same way he approached the Spurs and Napoli games. Sit back and hit them on the counter.
And I agree Inzaghi out-coached him BUT they also have a better team overall.

That's how it goes though.

He didn't help himself tactically this season but it's the easiest change to make. If he stays (and things continue the same way) I will disregard any comment uttered by Gerry and Maldini.

I’m still not sure who is the best and who is the worst out of the Bojan/Suso/Diaz trio
We just CAN’T sign him permanently. We need clear upgrades. Not more of the same and just hope for the best.

I agree on your end point though, Inter were better team in both legs, we have to take the L and see what we can do to improve our team.
In Serie A Inter has scored 66 and conceded 37, Milan 55-41. Let's be honest, they're better than us in most categories and have a much better bench than us. Today they brought in Lukaku, Brozovic, Gosens, Correa, and Gagliardini, who did we bring in?
Acerbi, Darmian, and Bastoni are having great seasons and Di Marco and Dumfries are no slouches while their midfield is miles ahead of us.

Maybe I am being biased but I also think a system is critical in how the players look. Inzaghi’s Inter has a proper system for his players to look good and prosper. We don’t have that going for us this season.

Tomori/Kalulu/Tonali/Theo are looked miles better last season when Pioli had a proper system. And now they all regressed badly this season. For me it’s on the coach.

Acerbi/Mkhtarayan/Di Marco/Darmian are looking insanely good under Inzaghi but individuality can you really claim those players are better than Tomori/Theo/Kalulu//Tonali etc. I don’t think so

I think you guys are overrating Inter’s squad and not giving Inzaghi the credit he deserves. I think making a CL final with a backline of Acerbi/Darmian/Bastoni/Dumfries/Di Marco and then players like Mkhataryan and off-form Lukaku/37yo Dzeko is absolutely brilliant on his part.

I can even concede that marginally the Inter team could be overall better than us, but I don’t think there is a big difference. It’s not like Inter are City like and we look like Salertinata in comparison. Pioli could have done better with his tactics.

If you think their attack is better, fair enough but do note Lautaro/Dzeko/Lukaku were absolutely underperforming and playing horrible until the last month too. I wouldn’t call their attack great either on a consistent basis.

In 2022 we played a really great game to beat them 3-2 with this same squad. But our level considerably dropped after the WC and then Inter got the better of us easily. And Inter themselves aren’t exactly setting the fire this season either. Before their last few games, they were on a horrendous run of form.
