Yes, like I said if it wasn't for the PR aspect Maldini would have been fired last summerWhy would you be surprised? Keeping Maldini as (a demonstrably) great SD is one thing, but it's also the credibility he gives you, the ability to deflect poor choices from Redbird and the ability to turn local Milan fans' opinion away from wanting to stay at San Siro, to clamoring for a new stadium.
I feel like you're putting things in a way to put it on Maldini, like... was it really Maldini's choice to wait until the last second? Or was Redbird haggling until the end? And for what? To give up on him after a season?
If Maldini wants more money for transfers, why would he want to use those extra funds for Brahim and Arnautovic? Brahim's fate doesn't even seem like it's in his hands, to begin with.
Doesn't matter, Redbird pays the bills they get to decide the approach
I don't agree with it but it's a losing battle for Maldini. Everyone needs to move forward under the same vision otherwise it will be a disaster
And I'm gonna bet the guy who spent 1.2b on the club will win out

Others think that Lewandowski is a better player.
