I think Cardinale might be a leech, unfortunately. But do we really want this? So we want to fail? Have our ‘project’ if there is one to burn because Maldini got sacked, or do we want to hope that there is some plan in it?

We all want Milan to succeed don’t we?

No I don't actually want this project crashing, but i want a new owner. I get this feeling that Gerry is some leech that just saw an opportunity to make Milan Toulouse 2.0...and I just don't think Milan is the right club for that. You can't build a top team with "just" cheap kids with high potential, you need to blend it with great players with experience. Our core is already by stacked with young players, it's not wrong of Maldini to ask for higher investment.

I think both maybe true - he got fired because of the poor market and wanting more money this summer and the budget is indeed the same amount as the past summer.

The more this unfolds, this is making me think of some of those scummy owners in Major League sports that have know they dont need to win to be profitable, worse still they know they can do the least and still be profitable. San Siro was jam packed even though we were sputtering - every matchday jam packed, he doesnt need to spend much more to keep that rolling in.

I hope too we hit homeruns on he market but just looking at what transpired so far it doesnt point to us trying to climb the mountain.

If he thinks he can continue getting packed stadiums and not make this team win, immediately after this decision, then he's going to be in a rude awakening, and worse yet, we're going to suffer for it.

American sports don't have relegation, don't have CL spots (playoffs spots aren't the same [as you know]), they have salary caps, and share revenues.

I imagine that Redbird knows this much, but... I don't think they have a plan. If this is how they do things, they don't.

This smacks of Todd Boehly. What looked like negotiating over differing plots of land, by pitting one group against the other (which is a common practice by sophisticated organizations for tax benefits in the US) seems more like an amateur wasting his time, not having a firm choice of where to start building, and thus, losing so much leverage.

Redbird are better than Todd Boehly, who is literally one of the most laughably bad owners I've ever seen. He's done everything ass-backwards--but Redbird have cornered themselves, with the way they have went about things. It's ridiculous.

If Milan get 3rd next year, and exit at the round of 16 in the CL, and then lose players, did you really need to fire Maldini for that? Will the fans get behind that? Let's say we have a similar season next year, to this one, but we get 3rd instead of getting 4th like we did... you think people are going to agree and fans will preach patience? Lol.

That was a personal dispute between him and a segment of our supporters. That’s a family dispute. Not the same as a broke clown who doesn’t have any passion for the sport let alone our beloved club and doesn’t even own the club (Redbird’s shareholders do as he’s only worth 200m).
