Our club is supposed to be much more classier than that. I don’t want us to become another soulless club that looks as coaches/directors as a piece of business and disregard the human element. This way of handlings thing was so awful and disrespectful. I’m so disappointed by this treatment. There are better ways to do this

Cardinale is in for a rude awakened
I think he will wake up with a massive 12 inch diamond cutter under his sheets.

He's an ex Goldman Sachs partner.

Maldini probably wasn't even the first guy he fired today and probably won't be the last.

Maldini fired gattuso for giampaolo
We lost:

Donnarumma (Ligue 1 champion)
Romagnoli (second place with Lazio)
Kessie (LaLiga champion)
Calhanoglu (UCL finalist)

for free :proud:

Maldini got balls, for sure... but for being a good general manager you need something else :gt:

What would this accomplish? When has any club’s curva taking a stand accomplished anything good?
The word boycott comes to mind

If i were a curva capo i would threaten cardinale and furlani

How about Maldini wanted enough funds to be competitive and Gerry doesn't give a toss about beinf competitive so will now install some yes men that won't care if we are not aiming to be competitive.
Then you hope they make this club profitable and sell to someone who cares about winning.

Nobody here buying the club just bc you are unhappy, that much I can tell you. Maybe general.

This mistake was made when Pioli was renewed with a raise.
Also, you cannot lose both. The players will go in full meltdown mode (they probably will anyway). Keeping Pioli around (hopefully not more than a year) provides some continuity.

You know what's funny? This summer looked like it was going to be the "Sam faces the consequences of his random transfer choices."

But you are literally getting your wish. Moncada has full control now. He's making all the choices.

So let's see what Moncada does. Now it's on Moncada to keep Leao. To keep Maignan. To keep Theo. To keep our best players and to add players that will ensure that we win.
Lol nope.

If those guys leave, it’s bc they are from previous management, same exact excuse Maldini got.

If they are sold for actual money while we maintain top 4 and finish outside of group stage in cl, that’s even an improvement

Yes. I think Pioli was more at fault than Maldini for this season's placement.

I don't think Pioli needed some incredible transfer market to beat relegation teams. The man lost to Spezia. Lazio is 2nd. Laz-i-fucking-o.

If we win this upcoming season, and you establish a dynasty, great, you were right to fire Maldini. But if you don't win? If you lose players who signed up and extended because of Maldini?

What would you call that? Objectively?
Then they made a mistake

Just like Maldini did with Giampaolo. And we go again and life goes on

Hard firing a legend but Maldini did a bad job this year, also last year when he decided to let 4 of our players leave for free. But Pioli was even worse. How come he is still the coach ?

A guy who’s never done this job before is the best thing to happen to this club?

Yea not buying that
Should we hire Tare, who's done it longer and never won a scudetto unlike Maldini? Maybe we should go back to Galliani then if experience is what we're looking for. Moncada maybe, whos always worked in the shadows. You would have never hired Pep at Barca Im guessing either.

Maldini has been in the game for decades. He has always been a leader of men. He understands the game, the league and the club.

At our lowest point, he came in and steadied the ship. He brought in some genuine world talents after years of not having a single one. He out performed his counterparts, despite them having greater experience too.

People are overreacting like crazy.

If anything, I see this as an ambitious move. As beloved as Maldini is, his last 24 months haven’t been great despite a few hits early on. Gerry didn’t want to settle for Nepotism and instead go with an established SD. Fair enough.

The recommendation to replace probably came from Furlani. If you guys wanna be unhappy at someone, it should be at him.

I’ll wait to see who comes in to replace him before making judgements.

All the talk of Theo Leao Maignan etc is just clickbait. We’ll be fine.

I don’t think it was Gerry’s decision tho. At least Furlani watched football his whole life, he probably has the knowledge of the average R&Ber.

Gerry probably doesn’t know what an offside is
