Look at Perez in Real Madrid. He doesn't give a shit about this things. No attachment from him. Casillas, Raul, Guti, Ronaldo, Ramos, Zidane, Marcelo, gone, just like that. And we all know who were Raul or Casillas at that time. Also same thing with Robben, Di Maria, Bale, Ozil, Sneijder, Makalele, Higuain, now with Benzema or Hazard. You came, you served, you go. No place for emotions.

Thats why Real is the biggest club in the world
So what is your point exactly
Cause unlike florentino perez, Gerry is fuckin broke 🤣

Also how many champions leagues did perez win real madrid? Thats like us getting mad at berlusconi/galliani for getting rid of milan legends

Gerry is a nobody, who only sees milan as a business model

So reports are saying Maldini wanted Berrardi and Arnautovic here. That’s sack worthy if true.

People aren't going to put their money on the line so people here can get their wet dream of us returning to the top. Sooner people get that through their heads the less meltdowns we will have.

At best you hope their goal somewhat align with our own, in this case it's making us financially attractive and get caught up in stature that we've lost during banter era, and then hope we will be in better shape for someone who wants to invest.

I find it impossible to believe Moncada in a days time has already decided we are good to go with Kamada and Loftus Cheek, unless he had already looked into them and recommended to the technical directors.

I hope it’s true though, I really like both those signings for us. And they shouldn’t cost a lot. What I would expect is them to go to the South American market more, we’ve missed on a couple targets from there. Maybe Moncada goes back in for that young Brazilian winger from the winter.

It has been widely reported, Pellegatti for two weeks said we wanted Berardi
Shiit. I didnt know that. Berardi cant be best option for us. He can be third option in the end of summer, if all other transfers failed

I feel very sad about Maldini being fired but i agree that it's better he has been fired than he quit himself

This is what I hate about. Not the firing itself. I disagree with it, but the way it was done is the bigger issue. Horrible, shocking, unexpected. Gave everyone a shock. Disgusting from Gerry, I will never forgive him for this. Our legend doesn’t deserve to be treated this way.

Yeah, it feels wrong doing that to a club legend with Maldinis track record and pedigree. It really does. But I don't know if there was much of an alternative TBH. The first fact is Maldini didn't expect to be sacked. He couldn't read the writings on the wall. The second fact is that the decision had obviously been taken way before yesterday. Weeks, if not even months. Letting Maldini run the show through half the mercato and conclude more deals that weren't accorded with Redbird was out of question (from Redbirds POV). However distracting the team with such a bomb before the season had ended wasn't an alternative neither, needless to explain. So the only date to end the relationship was probably now, the day after the season officially concluded.

Could the sacking be handled more smoothly? More transitional? It really depends on where Maldini stood. Do you think he'd accepted to basically be a dead man walking, with everyone knowing he's only here to save face, but with no managerial powers at all? I don't think so. And it's also beneath Maldini.

Maldini isn't a player anymore. He's become an important manager in a business that doesn't allow personal sentiments. "It's not personal, it's just business", they say in hollywood movies, and I guess they're right. I guess some business decisions are just hurtful and there's no way to sugarcoat them or to make them less painfull by dragging them - en contraire. But the road from here to where this new Milan wants to go needs to be clarified now. Not in a week or two. The narrative is already getting wild (no, not you @Wild). Players and fans are probably already riling up. Clock is ticking. The PR mess was probably unavoidable, but now it needs to be tamed. We, the fans, but also the players and all dependants deserve it.

Wiaat whaat? Who said this? It must be a joke
“Some summer targets will now change, as the owners will not go for profiles such as Bologna striker Marko Arnautović or Sassuolo winger Domenico Berardi, presumably because of the fees involves and their respective ages”
These were Maldini picks. We were almost going to spend 25 million on these two.

Pay attention to the users who suddenly post 34 times a day when the shit hits the fan, and its all snarky gifs. Snakes amongst us.
Meh, all sorts of people on this board. They’re just having fun. The fact that they spend time on this board is an indication that they care at some level.

The way Maldini defended Pioli even after his January disasterclass? I don't know. After another heavy defeat Maldini was asked if Piolis position is at risk, and Maldini replied something along "I really hoped that question wouldn't come" or "I really hoped I didn't had to answer this question" iirc, meaning "after all Pioli did it's just too easy to jump at him now".

But then again, the way Pioli rarely used Maldinis players, and the way Piolis latest statements about him wanting intelligent players could also be read as a critique of last summers mercato... maybe it was one of the factors? All we can do is speculate for now. I don't think that anyone but Gerry and Maldini truly knows what Gerry and Maldini discussed face-to-face.
Who does he mean by not intelligent players?

In theory

A trio of Kamada, Thuram and RLC to start off with for 12-15m total would be very welcome

A way for this to be redeemed a bit would be a good DM, some “Moncada jewel” (lol) but that’s wishful thinking

Also:

"Maldini becoming our SD is the greatest thing that happened to us" - hilariously revisionist and disrespectful af to Berlusconi and the money he's spent giving us all the trophies and glory. :o

Maldini wants to lift the team's level, to him the players who do this are the likes of Arnautovic and Berardi
Ownership wants a philosophy prioritizing players like Kalulu

The clash was always going to happen

If there's any silver lining it's that it happened now before the mercato opens so the club can recover in some manner

Who does he mean by not intelligent players?

Maybe Adli? Vranckx? Bakayoko? Maybe even CDK? I don't think he wanted to say they're stupid. But I remember reading a tactical break-down of Piolismo, how important man-marking is, especially in midfield, and how one individual marking-error causes our whole defensive set-up to collapse. My best guess about Adli is that he didn't trust him in terms of man-marking roles, because Adli is a player who sees the space and knows how to find his team mates with clever passes. One would think he's the perfect player for Piolismo, but then he doesn't get playtime at all. CDK too failed multiple times at marking the opponents playmakers, one time against Inter for example, and it resulted in Brozovic running through our midfield.

But hey, I'm just guessing and speculating here. I could be dead wrong on everything.

Also Real can afford to get scammed a la CDK's . They got scammed with Hazard .Maldini transfer this year was 0, except Malick.
