Tbh i have to respect that
He not that clueless after all
I can respect what Pioli did a lot. He didn’t want to get fired. Pioli stood his ground and you can’t blame him for that. If you’re on his position, you obviously want to continue and redeem yourself. He think he’s got fucked over by the Mercato this season and there are arguments to merit that.
And now he’s getting what he wants, a director working closely with him. Cardinale is giving Pioli the keys and will play a big part in the transfer market. It’s not a coincidence.
He also decided to rotate like mad and use Maldini’s new signings in matches like Spezia/Cremonese/Bologna which essentially exposed our poor depth to everyone.
Also kept playing Messias/Diaz every single time in the last few matches like a stubborn fool.
His press conference messages about the types of players he wanted said it all. It was clearly a dig to the management. You can tell me I’m going crazy, but if Pioli didn’t have clear disagreements with M&M, voice them out in the PC, and according to reports Maldini wanted him reevaluated, why did Maldini get fired and now Pioli is getting the keys with the director in the market?
Basically, Gerry chose Pioli over Maldini. I personally would have done the opposite but yeah, as I said it many times before, I believe these reports on disagreements about Pioli. 100%. I’m going mad maybe but I fully trust it. Nicolo Chira is also fairly reliable and he reported that.
I really hope Pioli gets it right, prove to us. That if you get the players you want, you can perform. I’m rooting for him, because I want Milan back at the top, as much as I love Maldini, I don’t want to let agenda get over my love for Milan. I want Milan to do well and that would require Pioli to do well so be it.
