Cardinale views CDK as 35m down the drain plain and simple...it doesn't matter if he's still got 4 years amortisation remaining or we can flip him for 20m or we have other players that are appreciating in value. That's all meaningless until they manage to actually DO something about his situation which benefits the club.

No, FBT does not fit the idea, because unlike FBT, Adli was in a Ligue 1 team of the year, with Maignan, partnering Tchouameni. Yes, he did play deeper, and was Adli ever tried there, even during pre-season? No. Pioli tried him as a winger though, several times, in fact. Did we have a problem with the midfield, in terms of numbers, perhaps Adli could have been tried there? But he wasn't. I mean, jeez man.

I haven’t been keeping tabs on his career admittedly but a quick search on Transfermarkt reveals that he was worth 55m up until last year when his value reduced in accordance with his expiring contract.
