343 doesn't suit Leao. Pioli thought Leao playing as the SS/insider forward would help him but it doesn't. Unless your playing on the counter it gives Leao less room to operate in and crowds his space him playing further infield

Yeah that’s my biggest worry of a 3-4-3

Last season when he has a proper DM tank and a physical midfield who can offer good defensive work, Theo could play more inverted without worrying too much about his defensive duties and Leao could cook in the LW.

But this season because of that Theo was forced to play more defensively in the wings and his chemistry with Leao even on the attack isn’t ideal. He could still play inverted in his 4-2-3-1 or 4-3-3 provided we get a DM that can cover ground like Kessie. We don’t really need to go back to 3-4-2-1 where Leao gets nerfed

I don’t think Pioli is tactical astute enough to make it work with Leao

I play a lot, like 4-5 times a week, and two years ago I started using adidas Copa Team Turfs, i.e. the old man shoe. A shoe I used to make fun when I was younger.

For the more casual and friendly games I play in, they're... so comfortable.

I also got a pair of those lol I got the classic copa mundials for turf and I swear I remembered you once saying that you know that you are old when you play in those

I dont think the formation per se is the problem we have the players to play many styles and formations but its more about Piolis selection on where to deploy the players sometimes you feel like you understand him and are in sync with one another and other times he makes me want to point a gun to my head with his stupidity.

Personally I would like to see Leao play as a second striker next season and I would really like to see him as the right sided forward.
