People criticising Pioli make me laugh. That 16 paragraph post justifying the decision to blow our transfer budget on CDK. I only made it through 3 paragraphs but my god the hoops you salty ‘Dini boys will jump through.
I think my favorite thing from the people weeping over Maldini (he’s fine, he’s back to traveling and partying) recently is “HE GOT US A SCUDETTO AND CL SF ON A LIMITED BUDGET!”
And at the same time:
This stupid bald fuck fell into a Scudetto and a CL SF! He can’t even teach basic passing and attacking patterns!!!
Can you guys see the… contradiction?
Maldini and Pioli BOTH did a wonderful job OVERALL working with extremely limited resources. Ultimately, when there was a change in ownership, though, one of them was willing to work under the parameters set by the new owners and the other wasn’t.
But you can’t have it both ways, man. Pioli turned Milan around relying on players like 40 year old Ibra and 36+ Giroud… Having to start guys like Sael and Messias, he turned guys like Tomori and Kalulu into the best CB partnership in Italy during the Scudetto season, he reached a CL SF after demolishing one of the 3 best teams in Europe last season… and he started Brahim Diaz and Sael in those matches. He had literally no defensive midfielder for his preferred 4231…
We didn’t replace KESSIE for fuck’s sake.
We never replaced Hakan… Did you guys see Adli against Juventus a couple of nights ago? He was TERRIBLE and I love the skinny French goon more than even Sam. Did you guys see CDK?!? Of course not, because he was hiding on the pitch avoiding the ball and getting schooled by Juventus teenagers that look like stereotypical caricatures of Italians.
And where does Juventus always get these Italian Minecraft looking goons anyway?
I’m rambling
What more do they want from a manager who has been given scraps to work with. He's barely had a starting XI.
Giroud and Ibra leading our attack at their ages lol.
Even if he didn't win the scudetto I would still be backing Padre as he got us 3 straight UCL finishes.
Pioli is the best thing to have happened to Milan since Sacchi
