If they pay 20 mil for a player, they get an an asset ( the player worth 20 mil ) and pay cash of 20 mil. In the beginning total assets stay the same as cash assets decrease but non-cash assets increase.

If the money is paid in installments instead of one go, it will just increase the accounts payable part of the accounts. The asset ( the player ) is amortized over the length of the contract. The payment terms ( one go or installments ) is chosen by the two clubs involved in the deal.
Thank you sir.

Isn’t that just straight depreciation?

But on the cash flow you have record -20.

I think I kind of got my answer.
Cheers

Yes it is.
I guess we will know if i was on point or no.

But how much do you think their true value ?
Hojlund - somewhere between 35 to 50
Tonali - 40 to 55

Both went at premiums for different reasons.

I am not sure which player is better or will go further. I just took issue with you dumping on Tonali when it isn't a clear cut case.

I assume that hot period Hojlund had that coincided with his stretch of goals for the NT also played a part but just looking at his numbers doesn't read top level striker.

Would you honestly trust CDK as CF after last season? His inability to score, going invisible during parts of the game and playing timid … in my opinion that is even worse for a CF than for a CAM.

Also classic but complete strikers are comming back in general and false 9-ish ones are going away with the shift towards more pressing and physicality. Hardly any of the hot CF-profiles at the moment are false 9 types.
True. And my point is that the current crop of CFs is weaker than at any time in history. Furthermore, the highest goal scorers are rarely CFs nowadays. Ronaldo and Messi were not traditional strikers, for example.

We have finally signed a RW who is a goal scorer and we already have a LW who is a goal scorer/creator. I'd love to see a CF in our lineup who creates space for these players and links up with those around him. That's exactly what CDK did at Brugge that drew so much attention in the first place.

Just checking if RnB is still alive, haven't read any posts in about a month :lol:

I'm still on vacation, been in Finnish Lapland for a week, have moved on to Norway some days ago, precisely to Varanger, beautiful views to the Barents Sea.

@Hitchens have you been to Varanger? I'm here for the first time, mainly hiking and cycling, I love the beautiful views to the Sea. Cycling along the coastal road is really nice, those views 😍
Still have some time left here, then I'll go to Kirkenes for a couple days and will fly back home from there.

You just made me feel guilty with us enjoying discussing mercato while you are there.
Stay strong.

is musah a "disaster signing" because of his whoscored rating?

it's clear as day the ENTIRE mgmt prioritized him. they've watching countless tape of him, likely scouted him several times in person. I think they have a better feel on who and what he is than any of us who watched him on youtube and checked what a bunch of dweebs on sofifa say about him.

if he's the player we saw at the WC, he'll be just fine

You wanna replace Pioli for a player who even his national coaches dont know what to do with him ?
You fuckers are making me defend Pioli to the death when i was the first to criticized him but the level of ungratefulnes is just too much.
Pioli needs to go for lots of reasons, don't be obtuse. He has done a great job but I don't think this team will get significantly better with him in charge due to his limitations.

His handling of the new players last season was shambolic, I know people will argue that those players were all shit but when you fail to get anything from 5-6 players it can't be that they're all shit. Sarri, for example, made a bunch of Lazio bums look like world beaters last season, without his top scorer Ciro Immobile, and people can't fathom how highly rated talents (Adli and CDK) and CL winning strikers could have suddenly become so shit all at once. Sembra strano eh?

Even if what you said is true, RB think for the long future not just the next season.
In a year where they will fire Maldini & renovate the team then keeping Pioli is a strategic move to sustain some stability.
Next season Pioli will be judged.

Every day is a new opportunity for Origi to leave. Great job by the management for excluding him from the squad. You don’t perform, you’re on the chopping block. I like that. I like that a lot.

I would trust CDK, yes, because he has promise. Thats whats expected when you’re dealing with young players. Somehow we went from a banter era level of “we need to trust young players because we can’t afford stars” to “we don’t have time to wait” due to winning the scudetto. Its kind of crazy to see. You make a plan, follow the plan, the plan works and suddenly everyone wants to abandon the plan because its beneath us. Weirdo behavior.

Tonali and Bennacer were leaking goals left and right

Krunic starts and all of a sudden Milan has a defensive presence in the middle

also statically it's very clearly Krunic
Yeah try again, was it krunic at the euro derby?
