I think some people on here need to get adjusted to what Gerry thinks "success on the pitch" is. Those who believe it's dominating Serie A and CL are going to be surprised.

That's why I'm not entirely happy at the situation. We can and should be aiming for some dominant seasons, given our financial stability and ability to actually spend when needed.

Given the financial difficulties at some clubs, unfortunate lack of pull to Serie A for top talent, there's no reason this new Milan can't thrive on the pitch... Unless RedBird don't want to take those risks that will be required.

Then it's too late folk... I don't get or like a lot of your posts, and don't get your reasoning, but; on this topic, you are one of the few openly and honestly, whether "being a dick about it" lol, you are very much saying what RedBird could do, and folk aren't seeing it.

I'm anti-athoriry and a little tin foil hatty, so have to step back when looking at this sort of subject matter and think a little more rationally haha... But this new management worry me, I am open to waiting, but wont do it quietly I'm afraid.

My expectation is that we compete. Every year. That we build a competitive enough squad that "could" win Serie A and "could" potentially go and win CL with some favorable draws. I also think it's better for Serie A as a whole that there be more than 1 team winning the league even though I'd be super happy if we won every year.

That's small dick energy. First game man. Surely gotta get up for it.

Shit I remember having to always wake up at this time during the banter era too, just to be let down by Poli and Bertolacci every time
i dont even know how i watched banter era .. waste of my time

A Juve style dominance doesn't benefit the league, and while it would be fun for a while... Ask anybody from Scotland, outwith Glasgow, how shit our league is given the dominance of Celtic just now.

I want to compete, win, and am realistic enough to know when that isn't happening... But, we should be aiming for that this season.

I wanted to see statements of intent, that management want the #20, and think we can do it. I've seen a more softly softly approach, which given their moves and vocal commitment to change, is weird. Fucking come out and say we've invested well, we're going to invest some more and we want to give the fans that #20.

Hey, what will be will be and it's going to be a fun ride haha

Like on-field results? I don't think those have anything to do with the stadium. And I can't see them breaking ground for years.
The stadium has certainly been frustrating. That said, San Donato looks promising.

Italian bureaucracy is the worst, and we are not the only team with this problem. For example, Fiorentina is not getting any help from the city (have been struggling longer than us) but Commisso also has to deal with the problem that local towns do not want a Fiorentina stadium.

Roger Federer is the GOAT
I am not defending him, but everyone deserves a second chance in life. He made a horrible mistake when he was 19 years old. And the girl is still with him, they have a child, she forgave him but you are somehow more angry than her. The case is also dropped in court.

For someone to deserve a second chance, they need to actually pay and suffer the consequences of their actions. Greenwood should pay for what he did in jail for 5-19 years since he essentially r@ped her.

Only after he suffered that sentence we can entertain the idea of him getting a second chance.

But since he’s out there living his life. I hope his career plummets and he becomes irrelevant. I hope he doesn’t play any of the major leagues ever again

I expected a bit more in these last 2 weeks tbh. Giroud and Krunic are still starters in this team it seems.
Why spend 20m on a backup player like Musah ?
Still not a new cb, cdm
Chukwueze starts from the bench :proud:
I think Chuk will become starter soon enough (I think he needs a little more playing time). Will see ...

I believe a big part of our problem last year was limited bench depth. This means limited ability to rotate, and subs dropping team quality (I believe Leao complained about the latter). So I welcome the addition of solid bench players.

DM and CF are still a problem, I agree. I am hoping something will happen in the "days of the condor". BTW, DM worries me more because it looks like Pioli is happy to play without one, and I do not believe we have enough depth in the midfield (at least until Benna comes back).

I'm outside of the USA, but I subbed to Paramount+. I use it with a VPN. The sub price is just 4.99 USD a month with Serie A and CL. I use Surfshark VPN which is around 4 USD / month and the Android app has a function to also change the phone's GPS location to be the same as the connected VPN location. (Sometimes the app checks the GPS location of the phone as well as the IP )

You can stream from your Android phone to Chromecast on the TV. The quality and connection is much better than from unofficial streams.
Paramount+ really is one of the best deals going.

I initially got it for Milan games after ESPN dropped Serie A and it has great content - Star Trek, FBI and all the Taylor Sheridan shows except Yellowstone. Then you factor in Serie A, Champions League and other competitions if you want to watch that. Insane value imho.

Only downside is commentary :D

I don't think they are anywhere near having their affairs in order. They acquired a 90% stake in a company that owns the land. People that think this will be a fast process are in for a rude awakening.
Maybe. San Donato seems more motivated to make progress, and we have taken the first real steps. But this is Italy, so things could easily drag on.

Rebic last season at Bologna. I'm going to miss that psycho.

I'm currently in Istanbul for the last days of my euro trip and a friend took me to the besiktas game last night.
Rebic came on at second half, seeing him live still gave me a good feeling despite the way his career ended at milan. Witnessing that psycho live reminded me of his goals against juve. Sadly he had a below average game but besiktas overall were poor against a newly relagated team.

P.s sorry for the bad quality, he was playing on the opposite side so i went full zoom

Agreed. That said, in order to be successful RB needs a little more than barely making CL or struggling to get out of group stages. Gerry is not going to build fan base or revenue or interest in buying the club unless there are some reasonable sporting results.

I know you like history, Amin Maalouf's The Crusades Through Arab Eyes is not only historically accurate but it reads like a novel, the English translation from the original French is very, very good.

And he has every right to be. I don’t like this at all I have to say.

Messias was even worse for us and was on the market too, but he was never left out of the squad and even played the friendly just before he left.

I don’t get why Saele is getting this treatment considering he’s been with us for like 4 seasons and as far as I know never caused trouble and he had significant game time.

This isn’t being ruthless, it’s being a dick and I don’t like it at all. Putting Saele on the market is fine, but leaving him out of the squad is not, even if we want him to leave.
