10 million is an insane sum for a young player like ZirkZee.

I mean yes, it's an insane number. But at which point do a few millions more or less make you happier than a wise career choice? it's not like we were going to pay him with bread and onions anyway so I think at one point more money alone becomes a weak argument.

Then of course who knows what ManUs plans are with him. Maybe Ten Hag loves him so much that he will bench the danish guy in an instant and play Zirkzee instead. We'll find out soon enough. He wouldn't be the first talent (and not even the most talented in that regard) to flop hugely at ManU tho. On the other hand almost all our todays stars weren't even starting for their NT, but are now, which to me is a testament that we've developed our talents well over the last few years.

I don't understand the choice for Zirkzee. Unless he's there to play with Hojlund, I just don't get why he goes there, career-wise.

Players go to different clubs for all sorts of reasons, money being a huge one, but they also factor in their career--and I just see this as a bad choice for him. If he went to Arsenal? Makes sense, they need a striker, etc etc.

The fact that the formula was changed also underlines where and how negotiations happen, it's not just about "this is the price, pay or go" but also about how to pay it, structure of the payments, tax stuff, etc etc.

I was never really big on Zirkzee--which probably means that Ruud van Nistelrooy is going to turn him into the next great Dutch striker--but I'm just... not a fan of his skillset or style, but best of luck to the kid with his career.

If you are a serious club you are heavy on Yugo players. I have no idea what Moncada is doing in France. Get him and his algorithm to Međugorje, Čačak and Slavonski brod.

he was playing more in a regista role lately but i can see him as our AM under fonseca
